Rudiger out with an ACL tear for Euro 2016 and beyond.

With Jonathan Tah moving up, Germany is now the youngest team of the tournament.

I'm a simple person, I have a pixelated David Beckham as profile photo since 2010.

Anyone else in a pool? Interested in the format yours runs in...

We pick a home win (1 point), away win (1), or draw (2) each day towards a cumulative total. We start guessing the score for knockouts and that's an extra two points if you get it right.

I'm surprised how varied the picks are.

FYI, for the first four matches I picked France over Romania, Switzerland over Albania, Wales draw Slovakia, England over Russia

Happy to see Ireland's Boys in Green in the tournament, but it'll be an unfortunately short showing. Yowza, what a group. But this is a squad that got an away draw and home win against Germany in qualifying and, as noted, with the short tournament nature, who knows?

COYBIG!

I think the lack of a world-class striker is going to handicap France, I don't see them winning. Don't get me wrong, Giroud is good, but I'm still baffled by Deschamps' decision to take Gignac over Lacazette. Imagine a front three of Martial, Lacazette, and Griezmann.

Uh oh, DeGea

Quote

Spanish national team footballers David de Gea and Iker Muniain have both been implicated in the ongoing case against pornography entrepreneur Ignacio Allende Fernandez, better known as Torbe.

A witness in the case - in which Torbe is accused of human trafficking for purposes of sexual exploitation, sexual assault, child pornography, prostitution, extortion and money laundering - has testified that she was abused by the two players.

Muniain is alleged to have had sex with the woman in 2012, while De Gea is alleged to have arranged the meeting.

Au contraire.  France has many world class strikers...it's just that none of them play football. B)

I think France looked nervous for most of the game but they got through it with a win, which is all that matters.  I expect to see more from them now that they have gotten over that first hurdle.

Joe Allen completed 88% of his passes for Wales today. Give the man a contract, Klopp.
