Make it something like those..." Considering everything that he has said (and done) in the past year it would not surprise me at all if he basically told the design team to do just that. The entire expansion process has been a complete farce from the get-go. The worst part is Foley is now officially part of the owner's club (along with the Maloofs >shudder<) and it will likely be a number of years before the league is free of his obstinate stupidity. The man has ripped off and pissed on so many groups for this name and logo all while alienating fans and rejecting two names we were willing to accept (Desert/Silver) that karma has to come though soon. Having the Army be the death knell (based on the blatant, intentional ripping off of Army colors/names/marks or the Golden Knight parachute team) would be ironic for Foley and also rewarding. The "official" reason for going with 'Vegas' was that it had a stronger global brand. Really? I don't know about that...I think that 'Las Vegas' is just as strong as 'Vegas'. It seems that those who may prefer 'Vegas' would still be O.K. with 'Las Vegas'...but not so much the other way. From what I've read and heard, a lot of Las Vegans are a little miffed that the full name of their city is not being rep'd. I guess they'll get over it (maybe)- but why even go there? It just seemed unnecessary. Also, a little strange, is that an identity that is so obviously "Army" in its look, colours and name...doesn't have any endorsement at all from the Army.
