Berlin Wall
I just read that Jonathan Klinsmann signed a contract with Hertha. Could be interesting. I'm a simple person, I have a pixelated David Beckham as profile photo since 2010.
AnPheitseog
l'OM , with Payet Evra Mandanda rami Germain either coming back or coming this summer, nothing less than Champions League will be a disappointment. Current world record is Pogba to Man Utd last summer for 89m. MJWalker45
Part of goalkeeping is anticipation. If he was counting on it curving to his left, the fact it rotates to the right will lock a keeper in place pretty easily. Big question is whether Osorio gets sacked for this. If he does it's pretty silly in my opinion. He prepared them to play in training and they lost 1-0, not 7-0. His ban ends this week as Mexico plays in the third place game. Viper
Great Gold Cup final so far - albeit painful for Jamaica with Andre Blake going out with a serious hand injury in the first half. First Altidore goes over the Jamaican wall with a cannon shot, but then Je-Vaughn Watson slams home the equalizer early in the second half. Apparently not all the Mexican fans went home after the loss, as they are doing a certain goal-kick chant... for both teams. Also, this is without a doubt the worst pitch I've ever seen in an international tournament final. The grass at NSC was in better shape than this, and that was for NASL ball. UPDATE: Jordan Morris strikes late, and USMNT snags the trophy!

DG_ThenNowForever
Ahem. Lego Statium is the preferred nomenclature around these parts. Stadium still blows. Arena is now 9-0-5 as USMNT head coach. I was a little dubious about how he would do the second time around, but it's been great results. Perhaps more satisfying had the US beat Mexico (B-team, whatever) in the final, but a trophy is a trophy. Dempsey was right there to pop in a potential rebound on that Morris goal. He could have retired from the team had he done so. Is 35 too old to play in the 2018 World Cup? He'll still likely be able to contribute then. People like to look down their nose at the Gold Cup, but it's still the continental championship. I'm just glad to see the US not bomb out of something like they did so frequently under Jurgen. 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags
MJWalker45
It's obvious that Arena is a lot more clear in evat he expects players to do. That's really important at this stage as we head into the end of qualifying. If your players don't know exactly what is expected it affects performance and it did at the end of Klinsmann's reign. officeglenn
IT ACTUALLY HAPPENED: Neymar to PSG The transfer fee is 222 MILLION EUROS (198M pounds, 262M USD). That's more than double the previous world record transfer fee (Manchester United paid 105M Euros for Paul Pogba last summer).
DG_ThenNowForever
That sounds like an A-Rod-esque bust if I've ever heard one. AnPheitseog
Can't wait until he visits and PSG spent all that money for nothing. Sanctions against PSG would also be fantastic, anything to destroy that club. Side note, Bastia was forcibly relegated to National 1 and has lost professional status. Glad to see a stain on french football removed from the professional ranks. Formerly known as DiePerske

Therefore the transfer fee shouldn't show up on PSG's books. Obviously sketchy and outside of the spirit of the rule but PSG's financials should be fine which was the original point of FFP. Clearly some changes to increase competitiveness and stop this circumvention of the guidelines.
DG_ThenNowForever
Soccer 101 Q: how does a transfer fee work anyway? PSG/Neymar/Qatar had to pay Barcelona $260M just to release him from a contract? And then PSG pays him some wage after that? How much does Neymar make from playing soccer? 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags
