It's a dark gray road uniform, a graphite alternate and a dark green alternate.

That concept looks okay in thumbnails, but awful at full-size.

Good god, the teal the D-Backs use now is beautiful. Why it isn't their primary color is beyond me. As for their old teal/green, it is far too dark.

And you're the only one claiming that the Brewers wore teal.

you do accept the Mariners Northern Green as teal but you don't accept the Brewers "whatever green" as teal.

again is the half full or half empty concept so there's no point on keep going here

I don't, actually.  That's why I said words like "teal" are ultimately meaningless because they mean such different things to different people.

Where you draw the line between aqua, turquoise, teal and sea foam green will be very different from where I draw it.

Regardless, thinking that the Brewers were trying to cash in on the hot color of the moment is a severe misread of that particular rebranding.  They were trying to go timeless, not contemporary.

No. Again, everyone but YOU accepts the Mariners Northern Green as teal, and the Brewers '"whatever green" as, indeed, green.

Let's go with something a bit more official. Namely, team-specified Pantone codes rendered in sRGB per our old friend Colorwerx!

MilwaukeeBrewers_FRC01_1997_SOL01_SOLCOA

SeattleMariners_FRC01_9999_SOL01_SOLCOA_

While both "Northwest Green" and "Hunter Green" have similar red and green numbers, note how there's far more blue in the Mariners' shade (71 vs. 94). I'm far more comfortable calling "Northwest Green" a teal shade than the dark green of the '94-'99 Brewers (especially when considering how the Mariners' teal responds to sunlight and LED lights).

Also, those Rockies concepts are a mixed bag. While I kind of like the scripts (doing something cool/innovative with the traditional baseball cursive script form), the rest of the uniform really falls flat. The team should try to be more colorful, not less. The wavy pinstripes, Taco Bell caps, and dark green pants are all big marks against the set. I'd also like to point out that the scripts look way too much like the NBA Christmas Day uniforms for comfort.

Unless something better came along, I'd be cool with the Rockies either staying put or swapping purple and black's places in the color hierarchy.

Jesse Alkire. Look him up on Twitter, many of you here will probably recognize most of his work.

Just followed him. Very cool stuff.

Coming from the guy who thought there was a clear difference between the marlins and Astros oranges used in the hats but won't admit that the brewers green isn't teal. It's virtually the same color as the ducks "jade" if anything

Can I just say that the Brewers 94-99 identity (particularly that logo) looks amazing...

I loved that look, but only after they tweaked it in 97.  Less hunter green, and a better cap logo.

I, too, think the 97-99 set was better...but if that set was still around today, I'm guessing a green jersey would have been used at some point...using this as a reference

A little Notre Damey (in addition to the Motre Bame primary logo) but those colors (green, blue, gold) work.

In my opinion the best the brewers ever looked. A shame the same could not be said about the on-field product around the times these were worn then maybe, these would be remembered more fondly rather than that lame BIG look.

It's surprising to see @Gothamite love a Brewers look that isn't the ball in glove

Jeez.  Really?  With the darkness, they all look so similar.  I thought the differences in the lighting/reflection of ambient colors.

Ok, now I'm totally convinced the Astros and Marlins orange caps are the same.

So blue and gold or nw green and navy?

The cream alts and those colors need to go. Make this trident alt with their standard colors. Heck, could even make a sleeveless jersey if they dont want to add a second navy or green alt jersey

anyone got a comparison of the marlins real through the years?

did it go from light teal from 93-2002, slightly darker from 03 to 2008 and dark teal almost blue from 09 to 2011?

Truth be told, I'm not a huge fan of the ball-in-glove for its own sake.  I like the brighter color scheme, to be sure, but if I advocate for a return to that old look it's because I dislike the current look so and because it's what the fans obviously prefer.

Had the Brewers never dropped the 1997-99 uniform, which I think is the best they've ever worn, I wouldn't be supporting the BiG at all.
