From the Mothership, all of the special event uniforms have been unveiled:

A lot of outlandish sock designs and heathered caps. The caps for the Home Run Derpy and All-Star BP feature a new, more lightweight and breathable fabric. All special event uniforms will now be worn over the holiday weekends instead of just the day of the holidays.

They've done this for a few years now, but why do the Braves get stuck with a headspoon and sleeve trim that they don't actually wear on any of their normal uniforms? From what I can tell (unless I'm missing a team), everyone else gets treated like their normal uniforms.

Normal home and road sets have the blue/red/blue headspoon and trim. Blue alternate doesn't have any trim. Cream alternate has only a navy blue headspoon.

Not to mention they only have one jersey without a tomahawk (cream alternate and the script is much larger than these above), but that's another argument.

Bad set of uniforms. Though, I do rather like that Independence Day cap for the Braves, probably because it looks just like the normal one!

I propose MLB "Primary Uniforms Day."

Those D-Backs memorial day, 4th of july, and fathers' day road unis look so bad.  I'm not necessarily opposed to them using a darker gray, in fact I like the idea of them doing it, but I think that is too dark.  You can barely see anything.  Hopefully in real life they aren't that hard to read.

Why are the Father's Day Cards, Nats and Mariners cap logos the same color as the rest of the cap? They look awful.

What's the deal with the two Yankee jerseys on Memorial Day and the 4th?

7/1 is a saturday and 7/4 is a Tuesday. So likely traveling on Sunday or Monday.

Love the Mother's, Fathers, and All Star stuff, these are fun for one day events.

Also note the Rays are grey for every one of these

@raysox, even the Mother's and Father's Day uniforms are being worn twice this year to cover those entire weekends rather than just the day of the holiday. So not technically a one day event anymore.

Memorial Day is to remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice, NOT to sell merchandise.  MLB doesn't even have the curtesy to have black armbands on the jerseys!

This is too much, and most of the designs are just butt ugly.

Doubt that they will be.  I have a feeling we *MIGHT* see a change in the next year or two.  Maybe they may not change until the UA contract hits in 2020.

Actually? I really like most of these. The Home Run Derby cap is pretty cool, and I actually really like the 4th of July caps a lot. The rest of it is inoffensive enough for my tastes as well. At least it's better than last year.

As far as the hats are concerned, I think most look good. The jerseys are toned down which is nice, so it means they dumped the gimmicks into the new socks. Will they 'make' players go high cuff then?

Navy jersey with red cap for the first time.

Someone must have pulled the plug on this. Indians are wearing home navy caps, with red brim.

I'm not upset about it, that is for sure.

Well, somebody in the Indians' clubhouse has some sense left in them.

Now if only this wise person could've stopped them from wearing the blue alts during Game 7 of the World Series last year... ;)

So now the question is, do the Indians end up using the red hat at all this year?

Yay!  That's my reaction to this whole thing.
