Have the Indians made any effort to be consistent with their announced pairing of red caps and blue tops at home? This is from today.

Nope, they've only worn the red caps with the navy tops twice so far this season, on April 12th and 29th, respectively.

Is NBCSN aware that the A's don't use that logo anymore?

I miss that logo so much. It's way better than what they replaced it with. I also liked it on their road helmets before they stuck with one helmet.  It worked really well with the green tops.

Yeah the A's have done a few things in the past few years that have really downgraded their look. I kinda half expect them to ditch the home and roads at some point for a look similar to their alts with the placket piping and breast logo, which would suck.

I wouldn't mind it if the A's went in this direction again. I also would love to see this script return to the road uniforms (or at least an alternate):

I actually would prefer if they went back to just having an A on the jersey it is what people mostly refer to them as and it just looks better. I also wouldn't mind a switch back to a lighter shade of green

No, I understand they've done it in the past. I just don't like the look. The current scripts they use on the jerseys without the placket piping (os sleeve piping, for that matter) look fantastic. It's clean, crisp, and has a decent amount of recent history to it. Ditching that to become the green and yellow Nationals (and people CONSTANTLY complain about their look) would be pretty lame IMO.

I'd be happy if the A's made a return to kelly green, like this uniform. Especially with the recent resurgance of color over the past few years after the BFBS of the 2000's, I think now would be a perfect time to do so. Although I probably still like the scripts of the current uniforms, these colors together look fantastic, bright, and fun.

I'm hoping kelly green will come back once the A's open the new stadium (which could be 4-5 years away, or more).  But I'll probably be wrong.:D

Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.

That'd be the perfect time to do so. Celebrate staying in Oakland by introducing a lively new scheme that harkens back to a time when the A's won the World Series 3 times in a row!

Yeah, IMO their '73-'82 uniforms (when worn with the white pants) were the best they've ever had, and I think it'd be smart for them to take inspiration from that set and update their current look. It doesn't hurt that they won two straight World Series titles in that set in '73 and '74, and the uniforms they wore in '72 when they started the three-peat were almost exactly the same, but they made some small adjustments to them prior to '73. My mom grew up as a huge A's fan (no idea why, as we're from Oregon), and she was around middle school age when they won those three titles. She has a bunch of A's baseball cards from that era and some other memorabilia, and the uniforms they wore back then were just about perfect.

I actually think their current green and yellow alternates do a pretty good job at modernizing the '73-'84 uniforms, but I'd prefer the piping be restricted to the sleeve cuffs and neck, rather than running down the placket. That way it'd better mimic the look of the '73-'84 pullover jerseys, while obviously still having the placket. Add the piping to the sides of the pants and they're golden. And obviously they'd have gray pants and a gray jersey, unlike the '73-'82 set.

This gets me thinking about what the other designs would be.  Golden Gate bridge around the Giants with the center span going under the logo?  Silhouettes of minutemen for Boston?  Mets gotta have a skyline.  Probably the same for Chicago, unless you go with fireworks and pinwheels.  Blue Jays could get maple leaves similar to the Cubs' ivy design.  Crown for Kansas City.  Minn and Pat on either side of the Twins' logo.  Disturbed waves for Seattle.  Imagine a pale gold head around the top of the Brewers' helmet.  The Rockies on... well... the Rockies' helmet.  I ain't touching Cleveland and Atlanta with a ten foot pole.

And, to bring it full circle: Maryland flag for Baltimore.

If you look at the bottom of the ESPN article, there's actually a link to a Mariners design, as well as an elephant skin pattern for the A's.

A big glowing halo for the Angels is an absolute must, and how about a beer mug pattern with foam at the top for Brewers?

Seriously, I agree with Bucfan.  It may be a historic look, but that doesn't necessarily make it better than the current look.  I think the current look (or at least the look before the Road changes) is one of the best looks in the sport.  And it's got some history behind it too, seeing a championship, two pennants, and the Moneyball era.  It was worn by LaRussa, Eckersly, Henderson, Giambi, McGwire, Canseco...  Okay, that list starts to fall apart towards the end, but you know what I mean.  Jeez, time has taken a bat to the legends of the A's over the last twenty years.

I'd compare it less to the Nationals.  I wouldn't want the Twins to return to the off-balance old script, the Yankees to return to outdated navy on gray, the Angels to return to halos.  And while I wouldn't mind seeing the Reds or Pirate go to vests, I know that opinion would be unpopular here.  Not to mention the criticism of the "Dodgers" gray alt, which has got a lot of history.

V03's right about the 70's swinging A's set is beautiful.  It could be a Blue Jay's-esque success.  The current set is so good, though.  I'd rather see it as an alt in the vein of the Pirates and White Sox.  Same way I'd like to see the Boston 70's uniform.

There are a lot of uniforms, and not sure how I feel about the black/orange BP jersey, but I really do like the logo. Overall, this is a pretty good concept, but I'd reduce it down to a home jersey, road jersey, and a single alternate jersey.
