I'd flatten the crown - don't like the halo effect.

Use this one, and it'd be perfect.

Huh.  I actually like it.  It feels relatively tasteful and not overdone.  I prefer the royal-gold combination, because it isn't something we've seen often.  The Brewers have driven the drab navy-gold combination into the ground.

Most attention-catching for me, is that a metallic-gold squatchee?

So, two Royals jerseys have just royal blue and white. Two have royal and baby blue. Now one has royal blue and gold.

The Royals are getting to 2016 Padres territory. If they insist on having a secondary color to go with royal blue, they need to pick between baby blue and gold.

Gold > Baby Blue

Especially for a team called the Royals. I'd  take swapping the roadies to baby blue with the gold trim, though. That'd look pretty nice. The baby blue hat is garbage, though.

Love it.  This is actually much better than their white-hot popular post-WS gold jerseys from this past season.  The "Royals" script in traditional blue trimmed with the gold thread looks ace and I agree that the gold accent color is both A: better than using baby blue mixed with the royal blue and B: a perfectly reasonable accent color to have in an alternate set for a team named the "Royals".  I think the gold is used pretty tastefully here, as tasteful as metallic gold can be.

These are going to sell like hot-cakes, I can guarantee you that.

It just feels too arbitrary to me. The same as the usual home jersey and cap, but with one color changed, and not even the primary color. Drifting into minor-league territory where they're eager to sell more :censored: but don't have enough good ideas to do so.

I agree I don't see much of a reason for this uniform to exist. It's basically just a slightly worse version of the home uniform that they already have. I don't hate it in a vacuum but it just seems unnecessary with the uniforms they already have.

In a vacuum, I agree, but I like baby blue for the Royals because it's organic, in a way: teams wore baby blue in the '80s, the Royals were great in the '80s, so the Royals made it their own. It doesn't have to do with the nickname or the city, just the greater shared baseball experience or something.

I see no need for this alternate, as with most alternates. I'm not even sure they need the royal blue anymore.

♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

I would actually like that uniform with two changes:

  • Use the primary "KC" cap
  • Have the numbers be royal blue outlined in gold, rather than the other way around (as it is, it looks terribly tacky and overdone)

I've never really been a proponent of the Royals adding gold trim to their uniforms permanently, since there's quite a bit of tradition and history behind their current look, but I wouldn't be completely opposed to the above alterations being made permanent either.

I just want this from the Angels

There's too much navy in MLB and always has been, and I don't normally like two-toned caps.  But that color combination has always worked for the Angels, they're one of a handful of teams that actually look better with a two-toned cap, and they need to return to it.  I'm with the others, though, that if they're going to keep the logo like that, it's too busy to accommodate both an "L" and an "A".  Maybe if the blue outline and the white outline were made considerably thinner it might work.
