What makes that Falcons jersey so special? It's about as simple as jerseys come, or is that the point?

Same with the saints throwback, it's just a Recolored browns set

The Chiefs don't have any yellow in their logo, and the Cowboys don't have any shade of silver in their logo.

There are also logos that are grandfathered in, like the Chiefs.

Assuming you're talking about the 60s unis, I think it has to do with the balance. Red helmet, black jersey, white pants. Logo on the jersey sleeves. Clean, well presented, not overdone. It also looks more intimidating then the red uniforms.

Honestly I don't know. It might have something to do with their relocation and their (rumored) upcoming uniform change. But I think the gold will be phased out of everything eventually, including uniforms.

Source for the rule and the grandfather waiver?

Not in favor of a single color update of the current bird logo.

It bothered me how the Falcons sleeve logo had a red outline, but the helmet logo didn't. I always wanted them to outline the bird on the helmet to match.

The jersey logo originally didn't have a red outline...it was added in the 1998 update.

I shouldn't like that Falcons look but I love it.  Maybe it's because I was in high school when it was introduced and I was a bit more susceptible to being drawn into BFBS.*  But this still remains my favorite Falcons look.  I thought the black logo on the black helmet looked great.  I do prefer the original sleeve for the sake on consistency, though I'm glad the helmet never had the red (even though such separation of colors usually bothers me).  I guess it comes down to the helmet...I really hate what I'm about to say but it looked "bad ass."

*Yeah, I know it wasn't really BFBS, given their color history, though they way they sort of marginalized the red struck me (at a time before I'd heard the phrase "BFBS") as kinda hoping on a bandwagon, buy having the black dominate.

Disclaimer: If this comment is about an NBA uniform from 2017-2018 or later, do not constitute a lack of acknowledgement of the corporate logo to mean anything other than "the corporate logo is terrible and makes the uniform significantly worse."

Read an old NFL book I had, although it is admittedly not the best source. I tried to search for the rule on Google but it only came up with the rules for the NFL shield.

That's gimmicky as hell but also AMAZING. I wanna see that. There solves your one helmet issue, too.

The technology is amazing, but I don't want to see those OLED display helmets anywhere near an NFL or college game.

What if every helmet was positively charged so they'd naturally repel each other and reduce the speed at which they hit? What could possibly go wrong?

Gregg Williams would put negatively-charged helmets on his players.

That's cool as hell. I'm ready for this to be real. Especially the animated graphics on the helmets.

How long until Patriots figure out how to hack other teams hemets to steal their plays and/or make them run different plays?
