pokecat12
You know I remember the Broncos Color Rush helmet picture when the Equipment Staff were putting the stripes on those , the stripes were individual decal strips. I thought why they weren't just one decal altogether. Grandkids, when I have them, there will be one that will carry this on for generations. BBTV
It could be since they're tapered there would be a lot of wasted space on the decal page if they weren't all rectangular? Or maybe the side stripes are on the sheet in pairs with one inverted to create a rectangular shape? I am pretty sure that the old D helmets were also 3 individual stripes. You can see there's a shadow on the right white stripe of Mecklenburg's helmet. BrandMooreArt
Rick Bakas was one of the designers at Nike involved with the Broncos re-brand. if someone were wanted to dig deeper into it, you could probably tweet at him edit - couple of guys are on it already GRAPHIC ARTIST BEHANCE / MEDIUM / DRIBBBLE

In addition, I'm pretty sure all the NFL teams who had that 3 helmet stripe look, used to use 3 individual stripes for a long while. My authentic Cowboys' helmet (circa 2004-ish) definitely has 3 individual stripes, but I know in the present day the helmet stripe is just one piece. andycumbee19
Just something about Broncos helmets are always a mystery. First, the brown/blue bronco fiasco from the 60's and now this. <Character eating Popcorn gif goes here>

BBTV
His response would make sense if it was a clear decal with orange, not navy. Stuff like this reminds me of why I love this place. OR it was the way you suggested at one point, again perhaps the team did not execute it as it was intended GRAPHIC ARTIST BEHANCE / MEDIUM / DRIBBBLE

The first time I ever watched a game with her, I pointed out the differences in their shades of blue and silver. She still hates me for pointing that out, and you can tell it legitimately bugs her when she watches games now.
