Either go with "the district" (my preference), or "district of columbia" - I would've preferred a different script. Dotting both "i's with balls is too much. Hawks - These will end up looking better than we expect -- that's not to say they are nor will be good, but from a high level they won't be offensive. The wordmark and black numerals on a black jersey are very questionable, however. Celtics - I don't understand gray for them, and the all-over pattern is too much. At the very least, I'd like to see the pattern employed a la the Georgetown Hoyas' side panel patterns, albeit a subtler version. Bulls - I really like these even though they look more like Clippers jerseys -- for a City Edition jersey, they did an excellent job of incorporating the city's flag and its colors into a crisp, clean design. Nuggets - Neither great nor terrible....just slightly different from their Icon jerseys. I feel the same way about these as I felt about the Knicks' Statement Edition jerseys: they're okay, but the slight differences from an already existing jersey make them more puzzling than anything else. Warriors - I'm almost all in on these for some reason. The color palette is fun, the imagery is both unique and relevant, and overall it's much more exciting than the previous iterations of the Chinese New Year jerseys. I would much prefer Chinese characters instead of the "THE BAY" script, though. Lakers - I have a feeling these will end up being much better in theory than in execution. I love Kobe, but the all-over gator print pattern feels too Nike-influenced for my tastes, not to mention that pattern was disastrous when Florida's football wore it. I'm skeptical. Pelicans - Mardi Gras is fun, but these jerseys just somehow aren't. They aren't bad, but they don't do a great job of illustrating the excitement of what they reference. Magic - deaddilly did it better 2-3 years ago. These could be absolutely disastrous. Raptors - At least the numerals may not be the same color as the jersey like the previous mock up showed. I don't love these, but I like them well enough and think they'll ultimately look pretty good on-court. Wizards - This one is the best of the bunch. It's clean, the colors are crisp, the wordmark is new yet fits in with their current branding, and the marble side panels aren't a distraction. I'll be very interested to see how they implement that pattern on actual jerseys -- from this singular mock up, I can't say I'd hate it as an all-over print like the Celtics and Lakers. Overall, I'm not thrilled, but I do really like a few of them. I appreciate the creativity of certain designs, though the overall execution could probably be better in many places. Plus having a team full of black mambas that are not close to Kobe’s level kind of dilutes the coolness of the nickname. My favorite of this group is the Wizards. Celtics - I don’t mind this design as much as I thought I would, but the St. Patrick’s Day jerseys will be missed. Bring them back. GFGS is just ugh. Bulls - I love these. Especially the return of the script. Nuggets - Meh. Not bad. Not excellent. It works. Warriors - I love these, I don’t think THE BAY is necessary. Just remove it with that design or Chinese characters. But, huge plus on the yellow!!! Lakers - Thats snake skin? Hmm ... they’re retiring Kobe’s numbers this year so the pattern works. Raptors - The whole NORTH thing is fun, but considering Minnesota and Portland are more northward than Toronto ... it doesn’t work. Wizards - Meh. A bit uninspired to be honest. Spurs - The Army thing continues, the placement of the spur and number is odd, but not as bad as those sand army jerseys from years past. itll be interesting to see the rest. Honestly with all these jerseys and all the ad's I think its time we say there is just 3 professional sports leagues in america. The NBA is more like a minor league at this point.
