And Sweden has yet to qualify, so it seems better to post their new home kit here for now:C9B9A8D0-4E80-43E4-AAB8-7BBFE459CC9F.thumb.jpeg.90b753ee8e6e8e3771de008ab0165d17.jpeg

This is inspired in part by their 1988 home kit:

The Juventus 120th anniversary kit looked incredible in action today. Rather than pairing the shirt with the shorts and socks from the regular home kit as was expected, they wore plain white shorts and socks and had simple numbers on the back without any NOB’s:

I feel like ive asked this before, but why do English teams hate championship stars?

No English club team has any, for any reason.

That I can understand, but even the national team insists in recent jerseys to make it a tonal star so you can barely see it

Bradford City wears a star for their 1911 FA Cup win.

Large

Nottingham Forest has also worn stars recently for their two European Cup championships (1979 & 1980).

They usually only like to acknowledge the winner of the previous season. Also, for teams like Manchester United they would end up with a lot of stars on their kits.

We do have a few clubs wearing stars in England, but there’s not a uniform system in place (pun not intended) as to what they signify. A couple have even adopted them purely for decorative reasons.

The Premier League does currently have a star spangled club - Huddersfield Town wear three, to denote their trio of consecutive titles back in the 1920s.

A solution would be to adopt the Italian system, where you get a star for every ten titles. If that practice were adopted here then Manchester United would only wear two stars, for their 20 titles. Liverpool and Arsenal would be the only other clubs to qualify, with a star each.

That was just for a few shirts when Umbro stripped everything right back - they went back to contrasting stars after a couple of years.

Wasn’t that star added to the MNT shirt in the 2000s?   For some reason the tradition of championship stars just never caught on in England.

Yep - the 2003-05 home shirt was the first to feature a star, and it appeared on the left sleeve rather than above the crest...

If memory serves it was added after the FA bowed to a campaign initiated by Soccer AM, a football magazine show on UK telly.

Looks like TSC is doing the usual mega dump of leaks as I type this. Unfortunately, this round is pretty poor photo quality so it's hard to see some of the details. The good part: traditional colors: England white/blue/white, France blue/white/red, etc. Looks like custom number fonts have returned after all teams (except the US) went with the same style the last cycle. I like the red numbers on the England shorts. That looks cool against the blue.

As far as the designs go, these are extremely boring. Not seeing many stripes, sashes, or much of anything. I think I can see slightly different colored sleeves on the white England shirt, as well as the rumored St. George's cross on the red shirt (it's subtle). I'm disappointed to see the cross not on the Portugal design. That scoop collar looks bizarre, too. Early verdict is that these are more the usual paint by numbers from Nike. Same collars, minimalistic designs, and all with the same sock stripe. Disappointing.

Updated with Croatia: not as good as usual with the larger checkers and solid colored sleeves. Also, that secondary kit is one of their worst in recent memory. Their usual royal blue with minimalistic white and red checkers were always some of absolute best international kits.
