Nike have released the new Roma and Galatasaray kits:

They both have such fantastic color schemes.

I don't particularly find any of the colors attractive on their own, and doubt that in a vacuum I'd ever actually choose to wear them, but they look so good on the clubs.  That speaks volumes.

The font is terrible

The black is completely unnecessary and is what really bring a no-nonsense kit down. I'd be okay with black socks, that combination has historical precedent, but not with red pants, that has nothing to do with Roma's history. Usually not a fan of teams wearing next years kit in the final day of the season but it would be stupid not to this time, practically license to print money.

i'm interested in how the contrasting sleeves on the back but not on the front look. We'd need to see it worn, and we still haven't had one clear image of how it looks.

Here's what the full Roma kit looks like:

As I've said before, I happen to really like the black accents. They tie in with the black socks, and I just think it's a nice change of pace for them. It's a shame they're pairing the black socks with red shorts since they always wore white shorts when using black socks, but I still think it's a sharp look.

Meanwhile, Nike officially released the PSG kit as well:

You can kind of see the transition to the darker shade of the sleeves on Nainngolan's shirt, very weird. I  think the transition from the two ends of the sleeves will be less noticeable than the transition from back sleeve to back panel

I just noticed. Why does the back of the sleeves has a darker shade of red at all? Do other Nike kits also have that feature this year?

I'm a simple person, I have a pixelated David Beckham as profile photo since 2010.

I don't mind that, you know.  The red on the shoulders works surprisingly well imo.

The PSG kit isn't as bad in the official photos but also not as good as it could have been.

Also, I'm getting a bit tired of the kits with the same color shirts and shorts...and especially those that are the same color head to toe. I know it's what FIFA prefers, and it's fine for certain clubs who have a preference to do that (Liverpool all red, Madrid all white, Chelsea all blue aside from the socks). But it's annoying when you see these clubs use a solid color when it's not historically what they have worn. Why can't we have Roma with white shorts? Portugal with dark red tops and green shorts? I sure miss the days of the US kits with white tops and navy shorts (and navy tops with white shorts).

Seems like the front part of the sleeve is  of the same mesh material the aeroswift has on the front while the back part is the little stripes like last year

The updated Vapor Aeroswift template features a sort of perforated mesh-like texture on the front of the sleeves, while the back of the sleeves still features the knit material that's on the current iteration of the template. The back half of the sleeves can be darker on some kits because it's actually two different colors knit together. You can kind of see the differences here (the material on the collar is basically the same material as the back of the sleeves):

Also, here's the first look at the PSG third kit, which also gives a better idea of what the camo pattern on Nike's global third kit design for next season will look like:

I strangely don't mind the camo pattern all that much, and I like that it's implemented on the shorts as well. Having said that, it'll probably look really ugly on some of the third kits just depending on how noticeable it is, and it'll get really old really fast after seeing it on all of Nike's Premier club teams around the world.

*Edit: Here's the Footy Headlines mockup.

Here you can see the fabric difference on the sleeves:

Damn, that's nice.  But do the stripes go all the way down the sleeves, as the old N98s did, or are they that bad truncated gradient we've seen on some of the kits?

The stripes are truncated, but they (thankfully) appear to be gradient free.

^Yeah, I noticed that. I'd guess they just don't have the new shorts in yet so the players had to pose in the old ones. It's really not a huge deal since the new shorts are almost identical to the old ones, but with the stripes being truncated instead of full length.

Also, here are the shorts and socks for the Juve home kit:

The new Ajax home kit looked absolutely beautiful in the Europa League final today. I love the contrasting collar and sleeve cuffs, and the tonal Adidas stripes make for a really clean and classy look. The only minor quibble I have is with the new kit font, but it's really not too bad and I don't think it takes away from the overall quaility of the kit.
