The World Hockey League, It's Back!!!

I had a pretty awesome project going on for awhile here in which I had a part-sim, part-fantasy, part-historical thread that ended up getting shut down by our benevolent mods. I decided to come back to the league and post uniform histories for each franchise as if the league continued. For those interested, check out the thread here.

First up are the Amsterdam Royals:

The Royals started the 1990-91 season in these jerseys:

1990-94.png

For their final season in Amsterdam, the Royals changed to these unis:

1994-95.png

For the 1995-96 season, the franchise moved to London, England to become the London Crown:

1995-96.png

For the 1996-97 season, the Crown added a third jersey:

For the 1998-99 season, the Crown adopted their previous alternate uniform as their road uniform and designed a home and alternate uniform based on that one:

In the 2000-01 season, the Crown would use a different crown logo on their road uniform and added more white:

For the 2006-07 season, the Crown promoted their red uniform to full-time road use:

For the 2011-12 season, the Crown again changed the crest on their black uniform back to the original:

For the 2014-15 season, the Crown adopted these retro-inspired uniforms that they currently wear:

Next are the Boston Irish.

They took to the ice in 1990 wearing these classic uniforms:

In the 1996-97 season, the Irish changed their look adding a darker shade of green:

In the 1998-99 season, the Irish went back to their original uniforms keeping the previous home uniform as their alternates:

In the 2004-05 season, the Irish added an Irish flag jersey that wasn't too popular:

In the 2006-07 season, the Irish added a black third uniform:

I will be bringing back all of the original franchises as well as adding on.

The Emperors took to the ice in 1990 wearing these uniforms:

In 1993, the Emperors got very 1990s!

For the 1996-97 season, the Emperors came up with a black alternate:

In 2002, the Emperors added a new alternate with the Brooklyn skyline sublimated into the design:

For the 2003-04 season, the Emperors promoted their alternate to full-time and created a matching home uniform:

The Emperors added a sky blue uniform in 2004, just because it was the trendy color at the time, and because Brooklyn:

In 2006, the Emperors resurrected their mid 1990s design as an alternate:

In 1998, the Magi packed up and moved to Amsterdam to fill the void created when the Royals took off. This new team was known as the Amsterdam Dutchmen and had a naval theme in their uniforms and stadium. Don't worry German fans, there will be a new German team in 1998 to take the Magi's place. They Dutchmen to the ice wearing these uniforms:

1998-00.png

In 2000, the Dutchmen added a third jersey:

2000-04.png

In 2004, the Dutchmen added a home and alternate jersey based on their previous third jersey.

2004-10.png

In 2010, the Dutchmen went back to their original popular look:

Popcorn acquired.

Your Cardinals color scheme is what I always thought the NFL Cardinals should have adopted.   The yellow really makes everything pop.

Up next are the Copenhagen Hammer (dropped the plural, sounded cooler).

The Hammer took to the ice in 1990 wearing these:

1990-94.png

In 1994, the Hammer adopted a more psychadelic color scheme along with a new logo:

1994-97.png

In 1997, the Hammer changed up their striping:

1997-99.png

In 1999, the Hammer went back to their black and gold color scheme, but with Vegas gold. They also dropped the wordmark from their logo:

In 2007, the Hammer changed their look again to something more modern:

In 2011, the Hammer introduced their first alternate uniform, their original home uniform:

In 2013, the Hammer changed their shade of gold because of the popularity of their retro gear:
