New York's Greatest
Toronto looks great! Though the logo reminds me of the Dallas Stars "mooterus" logo Also I just noticed the slight New York Rangers vibe for Les Québecois. Awesome touch! http://i.imgur.com/Yz8Jexr.png

Hence the slight Ranger vibe. JCRGraphix
Up next is the final team of the original 20, the Winnipeg Lakers. The Lakers are a classic Canadian team that believes in tradition, so they kept the same look the entire time, with only one alternate. The Lakers wore this uniform starting in 1990: In 2009-10 for their 20th season, the Lakers used this alternate from Winnipeg hockey history: Up next we'll be going through each season, and adding the expansion teams as they come up. JCRGraphix
The inaugural season of the WHL was a wild one full of huge trades, and some very streaky teams. The Seattle Orcas jumped out to a 6-game win streak while the Boston Irish traded away a good deal of their talent to stock up on draft picks. Montreal's Patrick Roy was unbeatable throughout most of the season culminating in his winning the Tretiak Trophy for best goalie. Another ain story this year was the crazy scoring of Ramil Yuldashev. Nobody could come close to his totals, but he was still dealt before the trade deadline from Kiev to Prague in exchange for Pavel Bure, 3 first round draft picks over the next few years, and a second round draft pick. This trade set the lowly Golems up for a run to the playoffs. The playoffs were a wild affair with the first seed St. Petersburg Horsemen being knocked of by the surging Prague Golems in 6 games. The Riga Griffins also knocked out the Kiev Angels in 6. The Griffins would go on to win the Eastern Division in 7. In the Western Division, the Copenhagen Hammer defeated the Helsinki Icebreakers in 6 and the Cologne Magi knocked out the Stockholm Norsemen in 6. Cologne would go on to shock the Hammer in 7 games, and the Griffins in 6 to stamp their ticket to the Global Cup Finals. In the American Division, the Chicago Cardinals rolled over the Brooklyn Emperors in 5, and the Washington Eagles beat the Seattle Orcas in 7. Chicago would sweep the Eagles to win the division. The Montreal Quebecois swept the Winnipeg Lakers in the first round, and the Saskatoon Blazers beat Gretzky and the Toronto Bucks in 7. It would take another 7 games for the Quebecois to knock out Brett Hull and the Blazers. The Quebecois had an easier time with the Cardinals eliminating them in only 6. The Cologne Magi were just no match for the offensive juggernaut and goaltending of the Quebecois, and Montreal emerged victorious in 5 games. The regular season standings were: European Conference: Eastern Division: 1. St. Petersburg Horsemen 2. Riga Griffins 3. Kiev Angels 4. Prague Golems 5. Moscow Stars Western Division: 1. Copenhagen Hammer 2. Stockholm Norsemen 3. Cologne Magi 4. Helsinki Icebreakers 5. Amsterdam Royals North American Conference: American Division: 1. Chicago Cardinals 2. Seattle Orcas 3. Washington Eagles 4. Brooklyn Emperors 5. Boston Irish Canadian Division: 1. Montreal Quebecois 2. Toronto Bucks 3. Saskatoon Blazers 4. Winnipeg Lakers 5.
