You do realize this is part of the new motto that Oregon's new coach, Willie Taggart, brought in and not something that was used by last year's staff? He's used it at previous stops and both those programs turned out alright so it's definitely something that works for him and his teams. upperV03 Posted April 27, 2017 Share Posted April 27, 2017 A couple new cleat options for Oregon: The all green pair is more evidence of them using more neon, so I won't be surprised at all if they use it on the spring game uniforms, and maybe on more uniforms beyond that as well. If you mean returning to the O on the helmets full time, then I'd say that's a pretty big conclusion to jump to just from one promo image on Twitter. They've used similar decals and logos in past spring games and it fits in with the military theme that the spring game uniforms have followed in recent seasons. Personally I'd like to see an all gray or silver alternate. Gray is an official school color so I think it would make sense. upperV03 Posted April 28, 2017 Share Posted April 28, 2017 Here they are: Very simple compared to past spring game uniforms (though I wouldn't say that's a bad thing). I was right about them using the neon accents, and the dark uniform is actually very similar to their 2011 pro combat set that they wore against LSU. Another interesting thing is that the font is the 2012-2015 font, rather than the one that was introduced last season. Hopefully that means they're reverting back to it because it's far superior to the new one. Other than that the only other real things of note are the sleeve patches, "Do Something" on the neck bumper, and "The Free" and "The Brave" on the nameplates. That's basically what I was told as well. The photo was originally posted by a possible recruit, and from the info I was given it was just a concept that was lying around and there aren't any plans to actually use it. These are consistent with their current black and white jerseys that they've had since 2015. Their current set is decent, but the black on black numbers at home really dilute the look. Similar to what the hoops team wore The cleats appear to be more of a neon green (although I think that's because they're kelly green and neon yellow), but I'd say the rest of the uniforms definitely still feature neon yellow. The 2010/11 national championship uniforms, as well as the 2011 pro combat uniforms, both featured neon yellow and these new uniforms seem to match up pretty well with those.
