Spent way more than I usually do in the thrift stores - picked up these two handknit sweaters for $40 each on Friday.

That day I just couldn't leave them there.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers & Winnipeg Jets.

Found this Mitchell & Ness San Diego Clippers snapback at Burlington in the city of Whittier and wore it in SD; got a lot of stares. Hey, it was only $7.99...

I’d upload a pic but I’m on my iPad and for some reason I can no longer do that hmm...so I had to use Google and share the url.

I saw someone wearing one of those outside PNC Park at the end of this season. I couldn't believe that someone both bought it and still thought it was a good idea to wear. It's definitely one of the most "uh, why?" alternate jerseys ever. Who ever heard of red for red's sake?

Yeah I mostly collect hockey jerseys and have always loved the odd ones that people think are ugly. I've just always enjoyed a team going outside the box for an alt jersey. I love red jerseys, so this one for the Pirates fit for me. Red has been in the Pirates scheme for quite a while because of the red in the Jolly Roger logo. They only recently took it out completely of their logo/uni setup.

The batterman on the back is rendered in red and blue, for some odd reason.

I think (might be wrong) but during the first year of MLB putting the logo behind the cap, they were all the same color. Next season, they used team colors on the batterman logo.

I found something so amazing: The above style Andre Tippett Patriots jersey (from his final season; also the first season for the "Flying Elvis" logo) for $20, but my 30% off card (I have one left now) made me get it for $14. :D

Some teams had the MLB logo on the back of the caps in the team colors in 1992, actually. One example is a 1987-92 Mariners cap I have that is in blue and yellow (SIDENOTE: 1992 was the last year for the M's in blue and yellow, at least full-time.)

But, a few teams did have the batterman logo in its standard red and blue early on (the Brewers "ball-in-glove" caps had the logo like that early on).

The Reds had blue/white/red batterman through 1998, IIRC.  The pinstriped cap debuted in 1993 - a couple years after the debut of the batterman logo on hats.

Well, this may likely be the last finds for the year, but I got the late 1990s Toronto Maple Leafs jersey and a Giants Hakeem Nicks jersey for $20 each.

I almost forgot: I got a Hanshin Tigers cap for $4. :D

^ I've enclosed several photos to determine whether it's fake or real. I think it is the real McCoy, as the twill is not 'bubbling' like a counterfeit would. If anybody thinks otherwise, let me know.

Been meaning to post these for a while. Got a 2017 Ireland Soccer Away jersey for $20 off Ebay. The badge is a rubber material, but it's meant to look like twill. One thing I didn't know before getting this was that there are sublimated horizontal stripes on the front. Another little quirk on this jersey is that you can flip the sleeve cuffs to either be solid or have striping.

Last week I went to Value Village and found a replica 80s Dale Murphy away jersey.
