Same goes with Nashville, I'm not sure if you have noticed.. The whole yellow collars are a different shade compare to the rest of the jerseys. So weird....

Having watched several away games, it depends on the lighting. I think they're the same color, just different materials. So in certain light, they look very different.

Maybe I'm biased, but I think that calling Nashville a disaster is too far. They still had the right idea in removing the piping but just took the simplification a step too far. They're more of a missed opportunity than something offensively ugly. There are many teams that still look much worse.

I'd say Anaheim's set is much worse than Nashville's and easily one of the worst in the league. The striping is way too complicated and it especially looks cluttered with the stripes running down the sides. Then add a phantom yoke that doesn't make any sense and you have a pretty terrible set. Even the shoulder patches take a good logo and add the pointless roundel shape and script to weaken the whole thing.

I keep flip-flopping on whether I like Nashville's home uniform. A bit plain compared to its predecessor, but it's serviceable. With the roads, the shoulder yokes are a bit excessive, but that's the only thing I don't like.

I loved the Ducks jersey when it was unveiled as a third, for being more colourful and interesting than the wordmark uniforms, and for bringing a much-beloved logo back as a shoulder patch. But I've grown to dislike them more since they made a regular set out of it, mainly because of those big stupid side panels which are flat out embarrassing. And while I love laces on hockey uniforms, no matter how useless a feature they've become, they really look out of place on a more modern design like this.

We're not doing an AHL thread but this appears to be a new secondary and shadow primary (it's the social media logo and at center ice) for the Chilly Oinkers:

A letter R with the Indian Head feathers is certainly moving in the right direction, but holy crap, bad fonts ahoy: you have Rockwell Black which just screams "we couldn't find the Blackhawks font on this computer but this is a slab-serif, close enough" -- 1) the Blackhawks font is Berthold City, and 2) it's not close. Then in the middle, you have...LUCIDA HANDWRITING?!? What is this, a PowerPoint? I wouldn't even approve of a high school using this. (If you want to argue that the establishment date is wrong because the dormant Cincinnati Mighty Ducks were reactivated in 2007 and this team has no claim to the 1999-2007 UHL IceHogs lineage, well, that's your hill to die on.) Then you have "IceHogs" rotated 90 degrees instead of spelled out vertically, which is what I think you usually do on the varsity letters this is trying to evoke. And finally, that bottom corner of the R looks awfully funky, with the corner of that bottom serif clipped as one would clip the corner of a remaindered book. Oh, and "Our Town, Our Team" and its mirror image "Our Team, Our Town" are straight off the Sports Team Slogan List right there with "We Are All _____," "This Is _____ Country," "One Team, One Town," and "Blue-Collar [sport]." The Blackhawks' marketing department is composed of promotional geniuses -- just ask them, they'll tell you -- but some slapdick couldn't have turned out a list of taglines and emailed them to Rockford?

Oh well, maybe it'll get some fine-tuning and replace that stupid pig with the childish lettering.

I'm totally getting a Jimmy John's vibe from this logo.

Nashville was ohhhh so close to getting their new jerseys right if they has just added two more thin stripes at the top of both their waist and arm stripes. That would give them unique striping that no other team really uses (maybe the Blackhawks but it wouldn't be the same) and would have been a clean improvement on the previous set while not straying too far from the character that those original Gold Era uniforms had.

New Jersey on the other hand didn't need to change anything unless they wanted to adapt the retro look, which would have been fine. The new aways actually look okay because the thicker red stripes add some colour to what was a pretty monotonous road look. But the lack of hem stripes is jarring and pointless and if they really wanted to memorialize the Rockies' look then they should have went all in with the thick stripes instead of half assing it. No team should really ever ditch hem stripes unless they have a chest stripe.

Well put. Is it the best set in the league, or even the best it could be? No. Is it a few small changes from being pretty great? Probably. Is it better than the previous set and more in tune (pun intended) with their design direction? Absolutely.

Interesting idea for Nashville. I think they could even use the six string design as the trim on the color blocks instead of on the numbers. Would definitely make the jersey design more signature.

What are the chances the next Sens jerseys use the O like this..?

Rather than just the O on chest stripes. Not advocating for it, it's just interesting how they've been using it this year.

Considering what Bellville is wearing and how AHL teams tend to wear what their parent club do, I would think that the Senators will just switch to the heritage jerseys for next season.  Honestly, whatever you think of the current logo, the O logo is boring.  The heritage jerseys, though, are spectacular and way better than what they got now.  If the Canucks can cut and paste the Orca logo onto their vintage jerseys to come up with what they have now, Ottawa could do the same with the updated 2D logo that they never used.  Of course, that's obviously not happening with the O logo being everywhere.

Reports today say the Hawks and Bruins will play in the 2019 Winter Classic at Notre Dame Stadium.

First of all, major snoozers. Second, I really hope the Hawks finally do something creative with their WC uniforms. The only interesting one was the first.

I know it'd prob be considered boring, but I've been wanting to see the Blackhawks come out with these for a Winter Classic:

use the old logos, a darker red. Would have looked great with the Edge system/collars.

As for my Bruins... if they'll be the away they have a few white based jerseys in their distant history that could work.

Blackhawks again? Seriously? It's time for NHL to making "Blackhawks outdoor classic" and left other outdoor games for rest of the 30 teams.

What did you expect?  Chicago is the nearest team to Notre Dame.  The Winter Classic is the big outdoor game of the year, of course they're going to feature the premier teams.  Im a Lightning fan and I know it'll likely take hell freezing over to see the Bolts play outside on New Years Day.

The Stadium Series games are where the teams in the rest of the league who will likely not make it to the New Years showdown get to play.
