Did the Rays really end up getting anything of any real value, though? Duffy was hurt most of the year and Fox is still pretty unknown.

The Twins have officially become the first team to make the postseason the season after losing 100 games (103).  Regardless of the format and the outcome of the Wild Card Game, this turnaround feels pretty good.

Good News for the Twins: you're in the playoffs!

Bad News for the Twins: you're facing the Yankees. A team that has always bested them.

Yeah.  Joe Mauer is the only Twin that was a part of all those playoff losses.  I'm not too worried about the Yankees being in their heads.  I am worried about the fact that we never win in New York.  That said, I think I'd rather have them in a one-gamer than a best-of.  Anything can happen in one game.

Much as it pains me horrifically to say it, Yankees still have a good chance of avoiding the WC and taking the AL East.

Red Sox 2 best pitchers choked against Toronto, so now the Red Sox have to split or take 3/4 (i believe) against Houston pending on how the Yankees fair tonight against Tampa & their finale against the Blue Jays this weekend.

But I doubt either team is getting past the 2nd round anyway.

The Red Sox magic number to clinch the division is 2, so if the Yankees win out, Boston would need a split in their 4 game set with Houston to clinch the East

Well, now that the Playoffs are officially set, I guess I'll give my "playoff Predictions".

WC
Yankees vs Twins
Diamondbacks vs Rockies

LDS
Red Sox vs Houston - Houston in 4
Yankees vs Indians - Cleveland in 5

Cubs vs. Nationals - Cubs in 4
Diamondbacks vs Dodgers - D'Backs in 5

LCS
Astros vs.Indians - Indians in 7
Diamondbacks vs. Cubs - D'Backs in 6

World Series
Diamondbacks vs Indians- Indians in 5

My gut is telling me not to overlook Arizona, they are a major dark horse in this.

Paul Goldschmidt is gonna be key to Arizona's success IMO. He's usually a pretty safe bet, though. I see them doing well, too.

Arizona is the only team I think that can take down the Dodgers. They match up well against them, have seen them a TON this year, and actually have a roster that can exploit the few weaknesses they have. I would be pretty worried to play them if I was Los Angeles.

Now watch them get smacked by the Rockies because Grenkie got hounded for too many autographs before the game by Pat Neshek and is off or something.
