hettinger_rl
The police dpartment of Hoxie AR has the Cal Poly mustang on they cruisers. How ironic that the "law" is likely breaking the copyright law.

OnWis97
Not only is it a high school, but it's an Arkansas High School, called the Mustangs, that stole the "H" from...Hawaii. Disclaimer: If this comment is about an NBA uniform from 2017-2018 or later, do not constitute a lack of acknowledgement of the corporate logo to mean anything other than "the corporate logo is terrible and makes the uniform significantly worse." Copyright crime runs rampant through the corrupt streets of Hoxie.
ImmortalChef
The car refrences the Mustangs, so I guess that the logo is more of a tribute than straight up copyright infringement
habsfan1
Thing is, if the High School can afford to sue and decides to go for it, maybe the Police Department settles by giving them a compensation so they can be left alone.
Gothamite
I don't think the high school is the one who's going to be calling a lawyer.... The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog.

The Police and HS are in Hoxie, Arkansas. The college is The University of California Polytechnical in San Louis Obispo, Califonia. The car is referencing the High School, but uses the property of Cal Poly.
ChicagoOakland
I mean, I can see why they thought they would get away with it...when's the last time you saw a Cal Poly grad casually hanging out in northeast Arkansas? Still though, that is a straight up jack.
Gothamite
I'm guessing that the high school stole the logo, and then granted the police department permission to use that stolen logo as an outright tribute to them. As if they could. But man, a shout-out to a local high school's athletic teams on a cop car? The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog. I took a look too and could not find that the HS uses it. Assuming that this is true, the PD may actively found a logo to steal (as opposed to getting it from the High School in blissful ignorance). Gothamite
That's strange, if the police department "created" a logo the school doesn't use to pay tribute to it. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog.

FiddySicks
There is so much about this entire situation that is just flat out stupid. Most of it has already been pointed out, but my goodness.
