edjb93 Posted July 16, 2017 Author Share Posted July 16, 2017 WESTERN MICHIGAN Now that P.J. Fleck is with Minnesota, I think that WMU will steer away from the "Row the Boat" themed uniforms. And with the new identity, this has to be a great opportunity to redesign the Broncos' uniforms. I based the design from this, because it has a perfect combination of black, gold, brown, and white, though its road version doesn't have the same traits. I initially created a gold jersey top as another option, but it seems that it will become overboard. I just only made few tweaks: sleeve pattern based from their black one-offs, collar logo, and lightning bolt on both sides of the pants. Oh, I added silver helmets, jerseys, and pants as well. I went to a basic route, but with a lot of options. You'll not gonna like me for this, but I also included the "unneccessary" grey and black options. I actually created black and grey options, but I guess it's too overboard. I simply wonder why they went with grey, when they can go with gold instead? I used the side-faced lobo both as the sublimated logo on the sleeves and as the helmet logo (jives better than the front-faced lobo). While I like the idea of incorporating teal and/or anthracite for alternate uniforms, I just went to a more conventional route, with silver alternates. It just so happened that it fits well with Utah State, according to my liking. I duplicated the sleeve striping to the pants. And for good measure, I added white pants and brown helmets and pants as alternate options.
