The new special edition Adidas Parley kits have already been posted in the other thread but I figured I'd post them here as well since these are the matchups:

Let's hope there's more contrast between them than these photos seem to indicate otherwise these will be two very confusing matchups. It'll also be interesting to see the shorts and socks that each team wears.

Dear Adidas,

:censored: you.

Sincerely, fans of the LA Galaxy, Seattle Sounders, NYCFC, and Orlando City.

This is some stupid earth day promotion, isn't it?

That's a bit far. Here's my opinion;

On their own, these jerseys are great. They promote a good cause, and while they may not match up with their teams' identities, they don't look terrible.

When you have two teams playing each other with these jerseys, though. it'll be hard to distinguish them.

While the cause these jerseys promote and the idea to use them is great, they don't work in the way they've been presented.

The contrast should be a bit better than the promo shots seemed to indicate, as the Orlando and LA kits are actually white and the Seattle and NYCFC kits appear to be a similar shade of gray to Minnesota's primaries.

But both matchups are still likely to cause some issues, especially if the sun is out during the respective games.

Seems MLS forgot to post the graphic for tonight's Revs/Quakes match. Everyone in New England forgot too. That or they didn't want to fight rush hour traffic on 128 and 95 to go watch two mediocre teams on a cold rainy weeknights. Anyway, here's how it looked. For the historical record, San Jose's keeper wore red, New England's light blue.

Thanks for posting that @Digby. I was waiting all day for the graphic to be posted but it seems they forgot. Hopefully they start getting a bit more consistent on posting the graphics ahead of time.

As far as the kit matchup goes, it certainly wasn't anything spectacular. Same can be said for the match actually, at least judging by the 30 or so minutes I was able to catch.

Looks like metallic names and numbers for the Parley kits this weekend:

IMG_3597.thumb.JPG.3bd81fd8dd8de7cfeb1a8baa734da19e.JPG

So in addition to there possibly being some clashing issues in the two games where these kits are being worn, the names and numbers (and the logos on the front) will be almost completely indecipherable in certain lighting.

Here's how yesterday's matchups looked in action:

I have to say it: I love this topic. Since I'm not a big MLS follower (I only catch some weekend games when they are on late night here in Brazil) it's great to be able to catch up with all of the matchups, since it's such a modern league. I think this forum should have a random international topic like this one, soccer is the best sport in terms of uniqueness and different matchups. But yeah, just thanks for posting, I really do enjoy seeing this uniforms.

I know it's an unpopular opinion, but I think I prefer the white shorts over the red. Maybe if they went gray / red / gray?

I think gray/red/gray would look nice but I still think I'd prefer gray/red/red, mainly because the red socks help to distance the kit from the Red Bulls' primary IMO. I just scratch my head at those white shorts though since there isn't any white at all in the rest of the kit and since the shade of gray is just too light to warrant the use of white shorts rather than a matching light gray pair. It makes it look like the shorts are fresh and clean while the shirts and socks are dirty and dingy.

I'd be curious to see that shirt paired with shorts in charcoal or black, with red Adidas stripes. Sorta like what Toronto FC wore for a bit in the late 00s (and what I've wanted them to go back to, but if they're not gonna use it...)

Looks like the keeper kits for the Parley games (at least for NYCFC) will use the same metallic/shiny printing as the Parley kits

The club deleted a tweet containing a photo of the same keeper shirt this morning and then reposted with the same series of photos except the keeper; wonder why.

Where'd you get that picture?

Hmm, that seems odd. Here's where I got the picture:

Here's this weekend's kit matchups, starting off with Chicago at Toronto tonight:

A lot of gray this week with Chicago, Atlanta, and Minnesota all sporting their gray kits and the NYCFC/Orlando and LA/Seattle matchups featuring the teams in the gray and white Parley kits. Also, in the graphics for those two games, Orlando is shown with the white socks from their secondary kit and LA is shown with the white socks from their primaries. It'll be interesting to see if that's accurate or if they both have new white socks to match the rest of the Parley kits. A couple other interesting things from the graphics for this week is that the socks on Atlanta's secondary are now correctly labeled as gray but still incorrectly shown as white, and Dallas' shorts are shown in red but labeled as white. I suspect they'll go with red just like they did earlier this season at SKC. Other than those points, the only other thing that's really of note is New England wearing their secondaries at home against DCU. It's unclear whether that's by choice or because they think the graphic on the DCU secondary shirt could clash with their navy home shirts.

Somewhat unrelated but thought it was interesting. The Gwinnett Braves are doing an Atlanta United theme night. The normal caps, pants, and socks aren't great when paired with the red, black, and gold jerseys but that's the minor leagues for you.

^ A little bit on the nose but I kinda like the concept!

Disappointed to see Revolution wearing the aways at home; had they forced DC to change, that would've been two home games in four days for the Revs in which they hosted a team wearing white and red. (If they could host last year's Red Bulls next week it'd be a trifecta.) Instead they're the white and red away kit this time.
