Why does this set look so good in this picture.  Without the pedestal, this would have been a solid upgrade.  I miss the white 'C' with the thin black outline.

Johnny Bench in 1966 or 1967 Spring Training, not only wearing the wrong uniform style (1961-6/7 Spring Training) but also the wrong number (53).

On a side note, I enjoy the number font on those uniforms. At least one team in the majors should use this thin, wide varsity block with a Packers-style "5" and minimal serifs.

Here's one for consideration...

Bill Walton: Only played 4 years for the Blazers. Brought the team it's only NBA title, so is that his "right" team? For the sake of argument, let's say yes.

His rookie season, 1974/75 was the last season for this style with the tail under "blazers". The next season, 1975/76, they switched to the vertical style which became famous the following season when they won the championship. The season after that, 1977/78, saw the introduction to the now iconic "sash" style uniforms, which Walton only wore that year before injuries and a trade sent him packing.

Interesting twist: when the Blazers retired his number prior to I believe their 1989/90 season opener, they presented him a framed version of the "sash" style jersey. Was it simply because that's what they had available to customize? That's what I suspect...

So, which one is his "wrong" jersey?

The 1975-1995 set is the best they've ever worn. Also, that's the worst name I've ever heard.

It's a little better than "Sea Bass"...

His rookie jersey, mainly because the vertical is his right uniform as a Blazer (because of the championship) and the sash -- albeit worn one season by him -- is the franchise's most recognizable jersey.

And, I guess you could make the argument the sash is the jersey he won a MVP in.

Omar Vizquel in the "Cleveland Stadium" era jerseys. The Tribe switched to script for the 1994 season -- the first at Jacobs Field -- but used the 1993 set in spring photo shoots. Little O was acquired over the winter, so likely never played a game in these. All spring action shots I've found are in the blue BP tops.

I still have a Russell Athletic road replica of those, including the Anaheim sleeve patch.  I also have the periwinkle sleeved alternate.  Two of my better thrift store finds back in the day.

I've got the home pins with the patch (patch added later). I also had the dreaded periwinkle alt at one point. To this day I still wear my "Winged Angels" shirt and 5950.

The road pins are still my biggest whale. I can't find it anywhere!
