Your favorite minor league ballpark?

Recommended Posts

While I'll be going to New York this summer, I'm going to try to visit one of my favorite minor league ballparks, MCU Park.

I've never been there, but seeing pictures and hearing about it from other people, it's a place I cannot miss out on. So I'm just going to ask... do you have a favorite? Do you plan on going or have you already been to your favorite one?

I haven't been to a ton of MiLB parks, but I have been to Durham Bulls Athletic Park twice, and it's gorgeous.

Since the question is favorite, not best (which would imply quality) I have to go with Beloit's Pohlman Field. It's so raw and basic that Beloit stands to lose the team if it isn't replaced with something up to MiLB standards. But the sheer basicness of it is what I loved about the couple games I went to several years ago.

Louisville Slugger Field is my favorite minor-league park (been there around 10-20 times) and is probably one of the top 10 minor league parks in the nation.

Both Cheney Stadium in Tacoma (home of the AAA Tacoma Rainiers) and Everett Memorial Stadium (home of the short-season A Everett Aquasox) are my faves. Pics:

I'll go with Pensacola, Durham, and Louisville.  The photos of Louisville Slugger field you find online don't really do it justice.

Great park but the turf kind of ruins it now IMO

I went to First Energy Stadium last year in Reading, PA. Maybe not the best but it has a lot of charm and would be my favorite place I have ever been to for a minor league game.

Coca-Cola Park in Allentown, PA; home of the IronPigs. I just love the atmosphere of the park. (And I'm totally not being biased since I do work there or anything... :P)
