CraigJPritch
Sick taps to the Leafs. Put up a great fight, they are going to be a scary team for the foreseeable future. OK, now since my usual whipping boy team (Detroit) is not in for the first time in what feels like eons, I need to hop on a bandwagon Give me a team to hate, people. Oh, and one I can like as well. The only team I'm really hoping wins the Cup is Washington, just because it'd be cool to see Ovechkin get the Cup. If there's a team that's been knocking on that proverbial door the most in the last 10 years, it's been the Capitals. Team to hate? The Rangers. So Washington-Pittsburgh will obviously headline the second round. Ducks and Oilers should be a fun series to watch. Predators and Blues sounds like it'll be a lot of 2-1 games. And much like the Rangers' first round series, them and Ottawa are two teams that don't really excite me, though I won't have an alternative game to watch this time. maz
Hell of a show, Toronto. What a series. Hopefully the Pens are up to the task. Always a good time playing Washington. I have a sneaking suspicion this will be the year they finally get by the Pens, but either way this is gonna be a long one. Two bucks says Ottawa bounces the Rangers. Unocal
For all the flaws of the first round and the divisional format, I think what compounds the issue is NO RESEEDING! Once again, we get 1-2 in the East standings wise in round 2. And remember, last year, we had that same situation with STL/DAL in the West. Here are the round 2 matchups by comparison if you simply reseeded: WSH/OTT PIT/NYR ANA/NSH EDM/STL
2001mark
Solid Leafs season, not too shabby giving the Prez Troph Caps a worthy run. Hope that bunch learns to close a bit more often next season, re. not giving away freebie points towards OT &/or SOLs. Making the playoffs while avoiding a wild card slot should be their primary target. I know that's cliche, yet this bunch now knows how tough it is to topple a top seed. Improving their D would be nice, to let the forwards a bit more off the hook. @2001mark

chcarlson23
Sorry this is a little late, but I've been pretty busy since Saturday... Hats off to Jake Allen... No one else on the Blues though. They all played like Garbage in front of him. The Wild managed to do everything that they needed to do on paper, and yet somehow lost in 5... They shut down Tarasenko for the most part, Dubnyk played his best hockey in almost 2 months, won nearly every faceoff, controlled the puck for most of the game, and outshot the Blues... And yet another disappointing end to the season. I may seem a little salty, and I am, but I would rather see the Blues go deep in the playoffs than the Blackhawks... Also I don't understand why some people think that the Wild need to just start over. The Wild are a talented team with some good prospects coming up... KittSmith_95
My Finals prediction is alive and well (Never said it here, but I got a Caps-Ducks Final). Feel bad for the Leafs, but this team is young and the core is growing. Just wait till next year when you're stronger & hopefully wiser. Now it's time for the Leafs fans to become fake Raptor fans again. Yay.

It was a good series, only real classless moment was on your coaching staff's behalf not shaking hands. Other than that, I don't have any ill feelings toward the Wild. They will have a good team again next year. Bleeding Blue since 1986

Allen definitely played great though. Also, WHAT THE HELL??? I honestly did not hear about that until I logged on today... The Wild coaches shook hands with the Blues coaching staff but immediately booked it into the locker room. I had to watch the video a few times to make sure I was seeing correctly. That's my only complaint. Bleeding Blue since 1986
