That's it, Blues. I'm done with you once and for all....until next year when you pull me back in and we do this all over again. I can't imagine what it must be like for people who actually care to do this every year.

Anyway, has anyone thought to tell the Anaheim Ducks that they are, in fact, allowed to win a series in 6 games?

Greg? You, Zach, and I have to have a very real talk about kicking this Blues habit. It's not healthy :P

At least they aren't the Stars. Hoo boy, what a collapse 2016-17 was for them...

Hey, at least the Stars managed to win the Cup once! I'm convinced the Blues will somehow manage to move to Saskatoon for real before they win the Cup.

I understand the history, but 2017 isn't 2016, isn't 2015, etc.  Different team.

But missed the joke, apparently. For future reference, if you see one of these B) at the end of my post, it means I'm not being serious.

Ladies and Gentlemen, your 2037 defending Stanley Cup Champion Saskatoon Blue Ice Moosers. I like it.

Injuries and the current playoff format have me a little scared it'll be a somewhat-early exit for the Pens (Columbus and probably Washington in the first two rounds. Yikes.), but "nothing worth winning ever came easy blah blah blah..."

Don't count out the Jackets. Not for one second. As much as I dislike the guy, Torts is one hell of a coach. Bobs is one hell of a goalie. They have one hell of a lineup. I'm hoping that Murray or Fleury, whoever they put in (let's be real, it's probably Murray) holds up like they have in the past.

Hopefully the defense holds up like it has this year as well. Losing just Letang back there isn't the end of the world like a lot of Pens fans want to believe. Losing Hagelin and Kunitz, though, scares me. That, and Geno continuing to be the stupid retaliatory penalty machine he has been all year, once he comes back. Against a team like Columbus, that worries me about him.

Pens in 7

Caps in 5

Sens in 6

Rangers in 7

Oilers in 7

Flames in 7

Wild in 5

Hawks in 5

And no one in this forum picked Nashville?

True. But that 2016 Stars/Blues series was a fun series to watch IMO.

And yes, I might as well throw it out there, but the St. Louis Blues may very well be the Utah Jazz of the NHL: They're generally a historically good regular-season team with a long streak of playoff appearances, yet they struggle in the playoffs and have never won it all. The Blues have been eliminated from the playoffs the day before the Jazz likely will this year. Heck, both teams have a music note for their primary logo!

(Sorry for the rambling, excuse me while I go in the corner and sulk.)

Back to your regularly-scheduled NHL playoff talk!

Good news/bad news time for the Ducks.

Bad news- another loss up 3-2, another home game 7 looming

Good news- At least this wasn't a closeout game. Imagine if this was a KO game and all that was basically with no safety net.

I feel like even if the Ducks do win game 7, there's no way they're getting past Nashville.

Depends on how many games the "good Ducks" show up for. Consistency has been their primary issue, this series.

I feel like Nashville hasn't shown as many sparks of amazing hockey, as either the Oilers or Ducks, but they've been remarkably more consistent, probably the most consistently solid team of the playoffs.

Thank you Jake Allen, for playing like Swiss cheese in the second round... Really makes me feel better...

Oh well, go Preds...

You could fault goaltending or the defense, but you really gotta blame the officials for that loss. Ducks didn't get away with any goalie interference and only had a paltry three power plays. Refs are gonna have to step it up.

It's officially baseball season in St. Louis - and that doesn't seem like it'll even be as successful as the Blues latest failure.

GG Nashville, hope your fans take it in and really enjoy the experience. You have a nice fast talented team and a red hot goalie. I wish you the best.

Blues....Even though I'm disappointed in you, I'll see you again next October.
