Anaheim is like Jason from Friday they 13th- they won't die (figuratively).

They just keep coming and coming no matter what.

I don't know if this is sustainable with the penalties and the soft goals and falling behind multiple goals and Gibson (whom I think is 2010 Niemi- a goalie carried by the roster) winning games at times in sptie of himself.

But it sure as hell ain't boring to watch.

Figures that it'd end with a fluke goal. GG, Ducks.

Ducks are going to win the cup aren't they....

:censored::censored::censored:  I hate this team.

This is where the lowest possible expectations at all times really comes into play: I started watching OT assuming they'll lose, I assume they're gonna lose the series, I assume that I will never see any team I like win a title in my lifetime, I assume by some way or form it's gonna be Ducks vs Pens, and if it's Ducks vs. Senators, the Ducks will win because that's just how things are. By denying myself all possible hopes and thrills for success until after it happens or the opportunity for it to happen has shut, it makes the slightest positive deviation a win. Could the Preds win the series? Sure, they definitely have a shot! But I have zero expectations that they will. It's bad enough that they're playing with me by getting this deep in the postseason and this close to a title appearance. If I beat them to the punch and embrace defeat before it happens, it'll either a. soften the fall when it happens, or b. make my excitement if it doesn't happen that much greater.

Being a fan of bad/mediocre teams that have never won a title (at least not in 20+ years) sure makes for some interesting results for a fan's psychology, huh?

When does a Ducks OVERTIME win NOT end with a fluke goal.  :censored: this, I've got better things to do with my time...  Enjoy your cup ya bunch of d-bags

Fixed.

Seems like whenever they win in OT, it's the odd bounce that goes their way.

Well, Subban own-goaled in overtime. Racism now exists again. It's official, they just signed the papers at the Racism Center and everything.

♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

Eh, I'm not angry with him. These things happen. It wasn't some horribly bone-headed move that led to the own-goal. Tonight it just happened to us. That is just not the ending such an exciting game deserved, but such is hockey, sometimes.

What Subban did isn't going to register anywhere on the pantheon of boneheaded playoffs blunders.

I'd like to think that the Sweverse Reep is the moment my Sharks "fandom" kinda died, but if I'm honest, that's Dan Boyle goal was really my initial Point of No Return moment with the Sharks. After that, I knew my fandom wasn't going to ever fully recover.

I don't think I'm ever going to hate a hockey player as much as I hated Evgeni Nabokov.

I don't know. I think I blame Nabokov for that goal a lot more than I do Boyle. It actually wasn't a bad play by Boyle since he had both his defensive parter behind the net and a wing on the far side. Now, some will argue "but Boyle is a professional and should be able to make passes like that better" but honestly, I can say that while speed and overall puck skill has evolved in the last few decades of hockey, passing has gone down hill. At least in my eyes.

But Sharks, so it was bound to happen.

I don't remember anything happening to him specifically. Preds called it "emergency surgery." What the hell happened to him?

Game. Blouses.

And Fisher will most likely miss game 5, with his concussion. That's 2 centers, and our top two face-off guys.

Congrats on winning the West, in advance, Ducks.

:censored: I'm going to need a lot of alcohol.

*edit* Fisher out at least one game, due to concussion.
