I don't know where this racism narrative is coming from. Of all the Preds fans tweets I've seen, I've not encountered anything that resembles racism. It's really been nothing more than typical home team homerism that you would see anywhere. This thread is the only place I have seen that it is even remotely a topic.

It's just how he's channeling his anger/frustration about the Blackhawks.

If there's one thing I can keep confidence in is that I've seen the Sens bounce back from absolute dog:censored: performances over the past years, and there have been many. Winning game 6 at home is doable, but yeesh...

There's something to be said about karma.  The Senators Twitter account had a post about "The boring Senators have a 4-0 after one period in Game 3.".  They've since been down 3-0 in Game 4 and 7-0 in Game 5, and are now one loss from elimination.

Doesn't karma pay off in the next life though?

Anybody think Perry will get suspended for tangling with the ref at the end of the game? The rule book is pretty clear that that kind of thing is a three game ban and we've already seen that enacted this year.

That was an absolute bull :censored: play by Wingels at the end of the game. Completely dirty and unnecessary cheap shot directly to the head of Wilson. Hopefully the officials in Toronto deal with him accordingly.

I think the NHL has already proved that bigger players get fined on stuff where "lesser" players get a suspension. I honestly don't want a suspension, out of this. You know what I do want, from the league? Some consistency.

Finally got a chance to watch through the Ducks/Preds Game 5. (Covering a regional track meet in the heat for 11 hours yesterday, so I wasn't much in a mood to watch a late loss when I got home lol. Wasn't ducking anybody, no pun intended.)

I thought it was a pretty even game until the Nashville tiebreaker. Even in the score, obviously, but even in the flow of play. Didn't feel like either team dictated the action. Preds caught the Ducks on a line change at the end of a decent shift, late reactions, Bernier doesn't control the rebound and that was the difference. That and a strong game from Rinne, can't deny that.

It's not the refs fault at all, but a couple blantant missed calls. End of the 2nd, Manson gets a stick to the face from Forsberg that draws blood (followed up by Manson crosschecking Forsberg next time down the ice, which results in a power play and goal). Middle 3rd, shot rebounds off Rinne goes towards the corner where Rinne collects the puck clearly in the restricted area. Again, not the refs fault, just some continued subpar reffing in the entirety of the playoffs.

Anyways, Ducks can't afford any mistakes and missed an opportunity to capitalize on a beat up Preds forward unit. Then of course turned out the Ducks were equally banged with Rakell out and Gibson leaving. Tough one to drop, but they've won plenty of the road so far and in Nashville. They've just gotta, well, do it. Game 6, then, well, possibly, maybe, sigh, another Game 7.

Go Ducks.

Well, the last time a team lost 7-0, they rebounded to win the next two.

If Edmonton can do it, why can't the Sens?

I have this funny feeling they will do exactly that.  Senators in 7.

Well, now that they finally conquered the 3-2 lead, lose game 7 jinx, now there wouldn't be the same dread if they host another game 7.

The Penguins aren't exactly like the 20 folding chairs that play for the Sharks.

I thought the Penguins were a good hockey team, but apparently it's just the karma magic voodoo gods getting back at the Senators' social media guy. Huh. Learn something new every day.

Score: 3-1, Perds

Ha.

Now you can truly experience what it was like to be a Caps fan in the 2017 playoffs.
