How in the world is Sabonis and Oladipo better than Kevin Love?

Indiana is all of a sudden the stupidest front office in the league. They couldn't have gotten one of Boston's WAY better assets?

Well Kevin Pritchrd just hired Chad Buchanan as the GM, who was under him when Pritchard was in Portland.

Just look at all the career moves made by Pritchard over the years.

It all started by drafting....Greg Oden.

I always make the dumb assumption that teams are trying to improve, even when they know they're losing talent.

A Pacers tank year sounds dumb, and I think Oladipo/Sabonis are probably worth about 3-4 fewer wins than Love. But Love and a FA (Hayward) isn't so bad.

I guess Ainge bungled this off-season because he just sat on his ass. We'll see what happens tomorrow.

What happened to Ainge might be a result of "The Process" and GMs don't want/value draft picks anymore. They want proven talent.

Well, this has been a fun off season. And technically, free agency hasn't even begun.

As as much as I loved last off season, it was definitely a total dud for anyone not named Golden State. The Warriors are probably gonna win the title again going away, but it's definitely fun seeing teams fun for them. This is probably exactly what the currently constructed NBA needs.

Why Oladipo?

Adding a prominent IU alum can't hurt if the Pacers' look to not do as well next year.

Sam kinda got lucky in flipping Serge for George in 53 weeks.

I left that franchise for dead after last offseason. Now they look like 3 seed. Russ/George/Adams is solid.

He got luckier when Billy Donovan didn't take the Ohio State job three weeks ago to replace Thad Matta during the various Midwest coaching changes in May due to Matta's firing.

Paddy Mills back to the Spurs; 4 years for $50M, per Woj.

Wasn't Woj supposed to be on this ESPN2 show so he would stop scooping his new employer?

Woj was in Bristol with SVP at the top of the hour.

Per Tim Bontemps, for this season: $99.093 million for the cap, and $119.3 million for the tax.

Blake Griffin to stay in Los Angeles with the Clippers, five years-$173 million:

Gotta say, I never felt the slightest bit nervous that he'd actually go elsewhere. Blake embraced being a Clipper from day one and has never given any indication that he was ready for a change. Hopefully his loyalty can win him some respect around the league like it did with Westbrook last season.
