I've gotta say, the more I see of these, the more I'm starting to come around on them.

Some shots of the Statement uniform on Moe Harkless at last night's event:

I think it looks pretty sharp on a player, especially with the matching red socks. There's definitely still a lack of contrast with the wordmark and numbers, but I don't think it looks too bad as is.

Upon seeing it on a player, it's not bad, but still really needs some white. If the script and numbers were white outlined in black, it'd be worlds better.

Yeah, and maybe have the neck and armhole trim black with a thin white stroke.

The Blazers wore their black uniforms yesterday for the majority of Media Day, the first time they’ve done so in at least the last ten years, if not more:

When Nike announced the new naming conventions for the uniforms, the Blazers’ beat reporter said that we should still expect the team to wear white at home and black on the road, but I just wonder if yesterday was a sign of them wearing black at home more often this season? They wore black at home once last season, the first time in at least a decade, and Lillard went on to score a franchise and career high 59 points that night. Lillard is also the team captain and gets to pick the uniform the team wears on a given night (though that could change a little bit for road games this season since it’s more dependent on the home team now), so it wouldn’t surprise me if he has the team wearing black at home a few more times this season. I’d still expect them to wear the whites for the majority of home games, but I’d bet we’ll see more of the black, red, and presumed Rip City uniforms at home as well.

Also, here’s a couple more good looks at their new red uniform:

And a couple shots of their warmup jacket and pants:

Nah, it's beautiful. Looks really good. If I didn't have a rule to never buy a jersey that wasn't a Lakers one, I'd buy that.

It seems irrational, but I look at the Blazers red uniform and know it needs a little white, but still don't care. I'm not convinced adding contrast or highlights would make it look better as a whole. I initially liked the leaked concepts and like the actual look even more. Maybe it's because I'm a sucker for a red/black combo, but this really works for me.

The swoosh on that jacket should be bigger.....

I'm intrigued to see these in person. These look like Nike Therma Shpere Max hoodies which are way to warm to wear on the sideline or during shoot around.

though there can be more improvements, however I think that in the color segment, an introduction of a third color, i.e light mustard in a little quantity would make it better.

Are you saying Portland should introduce light mustard to their color scheme or is this an example?

The warmup jackets are the Nike Therma Flex Showtime hoodie.  I tried one on at Foot Locker.  They are pretty warm and slim fitting.  If you're not on the thin side, you might want to go up one size.  Haven't really seen these on the bench in preseason so far...everyone's wearing the long sleeve shooting shirts instead.

Yeah, I was going to say, I haven't seen them on the benches either. I like them for the winter for around town but don't see them getting too much action on the bench. I feel like that's been Nike's MO recently with the slim fit sizes. Either that or I've been lying to myself that I'm still a men's Large and not XL!
