MLB Redesigns Series

Again, I may be in the minority, but I really like the script  "Minnesota" and it looks great in white. However, I think you should keep the back number green but make the player name in white on the road and alt.

Really love all the twins sets you've put out thus far, the color scheme and the sock stripes are beautiful. I think your best bet with the blue jerseys is a full white front panel and the white Minnesota script.

Thank you! For the final update I think I'm just gonna go with the white wordmarks.

Conveniently, although not intentionally, I'm going to be taking a break at the halfway point since I'll be out of town for about two weeks and won't be able to post updates. However, I'll be coming back with 3 expansion teams in a row! Feel free to leave any comments below in the meantime.

Once again I've really appreciated all of the comments so far, they've helped take the series a long way.

Sorry for the long break folks, but we're back today with another expansion team!

Logos

-Occupying the NL East, this was the most natural expansion team to go with; I knew if I was gonna have 6 expansion teams one of them would have to be an Expos resurrection.

-Although the logo set stays pretty much intact, there was a point early on where I was planning to use purple and teal, which would've certainly been interesting. I decided to keep the royal and red because of its connection to the French flag.

-The home is pretty much a straight throwback of probably the most famous Expos set. The other uniforms base themselves off of this.

-Blue and red caps are both included, as well as colored alternates.

-The sock pattern is based off of the 2000's primary logo.

C+C is appreciated, as always!

Glad to see this series back in business. The Expos look perfect, but since you mentioned that you were thinking about Purple and Teal at first, I kind of want to see that just to see what could have been.

Great to see this series back in action! I hope you enjoyed your trip.

The Expos look solid. However, if your goal is to modernize them a bit, I would suggest using a more traditional block style for the numbers. The current style is very '70s/80s.

Also, the all-red cap on the alt is a little intense; how about a blue bill?

It's nice to see this series back in action! While I like the return of powder blue and the return of the "Montreal" script, I have some problems with it. The red tops on the socks are unnecessary, as are the racing stripes (asymmetrical cuff stripes would be better) and the "dated" font. I agree with @coco1997's points about preferring a block font and toning down the red alternate (perhaps with more blue details). Still, these are minor flaws. These tweaks might punch it up a bit.

On to the Land of 10,000 Lakes, and the Minnesota Twins!

-Variations of blue and green are my favorite color scheme, so I wanted to incorporate a fair share of it throughout the series. Royal blue and kelly green is a scheme that fits the Minnesota area well, with the blue representing the lakes and the green representing the forest. It's also obviously a scheme that has been represented well in Minnesota's sports past.

-The dropshadows are gone, because although I think they are an interesting and unique idea, they are very hard to execute properly.

-I experimented with using navy instead, or even incorporating light blue, but neither of those ideas seemed to work. Early iterations of this set also incorporated black, but I scrapped that and kept it to royal and kelly.

-I could try and go back to the old 'Twins' script for this set, but for now I just kept the modern.

-The cap is my adjustment of a concept done by @the admiral and promoted by @SFGiants58. I kept it dual colored for now because I think the kelly green stands out slightly better on the blue. I preferred to keep the wider base, so for now I kept the current 'C' but without the wishbone.

Uniforms

-The uniforms are a pretty simple translation from my tweaks series, without the added third color getting in the way.

-I considered giving Minnesota a powder blue away much like Milwaukee's, but I felt like that was too much of a cop out, so I gave them royal blue.

-The away cap is based off of the Twins' 2014 ASG cap, which was based on their old batting helmets.

-The socks are once again based off of @thespungo's designs on his site, where the two green stripes represent the Twin Cities and the middle blue stripe represents the Mississippi River.

And that's pretty much the Twins for you, I'd love to hear what you all think!

I like that color combo. This looks very good!

Thank you all! I scrapped the purple and teal idea pretty early on in the process (though it's been saved for another team in the near future), but here's a look at what it likely would've looked like. I probably would've changed the uniform design to be less of a straight-up throwback.

Thank you, I appreciate it! I only made the cap all red because of the batting practice hat they wore, though here is a version with a blue brim. Or maybe I should just pair the all-red only with the blue jersey?

Thank you! For the stripes, are you saying like this? I do quite like how this looks. For now, I also flipped the color of the socks so that the lighter shade red is on the bottom, which might look better.

As for the number font, I'll work on improving that. How about something like Clarendon? It makes the numbers bolder while also keeping a curved aesthetic.

The blue bill on the red cap is an improvement.

I have to say, I do like the teal and purple scheme (though the purple looks a bit more like navy) but I think you made the right move sticking with blue and red.

Gorgeous job on Les Expos!

Montreal had a criminally underrated uniform history. What I wouldn't give to see those in a modern stadium and not in the florescent dinge of Olympic Stadium.

Thank you!

Here is a proposed update of the set, I removed the racing stripes but made the sleeve stripes (and the numbers) thicker across the set.

I like the thicker numbers, but I prefer the racing stripes as it keeps that old-school feeling. Either way, great work on this set as well as all of the others so far.

Thanks, I think the new set still retains some of that old-school while still going modern, even going back farther into Expos history.

Good updates. I don't think you need a solid red cap, though (I'd pair the pinwheel style cap with the blue alt) and I'd also drop the front numbers from the away and second alt.

I think I'd like to keep the red cap, although it wouldn't be worn often (most of the time it would be the pinwheel) it'd be a nice option to occasionally pair with the blue jersey. I did remove the front numbers, though.

Another expansion team is on the way tomorrow!

Alright, kind of surprising that it has already been a couple days since I posted the Marlins, but here are the Brewers!

Logos

594ffe16f34b1_MilwaukeeBrewersLogos.thumb.png.2867a372b52c9b3655a9b4af4b42da02.png

-Going back to the classic, beloved scheme, with a darker, more brewery type gold, as I recommended in @Victormrey's wonderful series. This way the classic feel is kept intact, with a subtle twist to keep it modern.

-The away is a sort of dulled powder blue, kind of like what you saw from the White Sox in the 60's. All of the white elements in the set are actually cream, being that Milwaukee is the Cream City.

Uniforms

595001797f2d2_MilwaukeeBrewersHome.thumb.png.aad4795f327693bc44a253d50ad8d4ad.png59500182339ee_MilwaukeeBrewersAway.thumb.png.74fd2e835c4def939da6867b7a69a2f0.png5950112be6d14_MilwaukeeBrewersAlternate1.thumb.png.126a88d36e3d710e00b455831f1703a0.png59501133f3630_MilwaukeeBrewersAlternate2.thumb.png.d3628c1044d353de7c717d724b0878f5.png

-The wheat/barley type pattern returns from my tweaks series, and is added onto the brims of the caps, deriving from their predecessor Pilots' caps.

-The gold jersey sees a gold front-panel cap paired with it, though obviously that cap can go with the other jerseys as well.

-The number font from my tweaks series is kept to maintain the brewery type feel to the set.

I'd love to hear what you guys think!

That actually looks good for a Brewers uniform. I would go for this look.

I think you've done well with the Expos! The thicker striping, bolder numbers, and better-defined uniform combinations are really good. My only criticism would be that the "expos" wordmark on the home uniform get replaced by the "Meb" on it's own. I like how it looks on the red alternate, and the logo's brand equity makes it an effective substitute for the name. Good work, and I'm looking forward to the expansion team.

Thanks! I removed the "expos" in the original post.

Moving on now to today's expansion team, the Nashville Sounds!

Logos

596e2fe4f366e_NashvilleSoundsLogos.thumb.png.ca45a91e074099defba0bc3238e917f6.png

-As easily one of the best identities in the Minor Leagues, this team occupies the AL East with a refurbished color scheme that in my opinion better suits the area and the name.

-That color scheme is not so subtly taken from another popular team in the state, and I knew I wanted to incorporate orange and light blue somewhere, since it's a scheme that I think needs to be used more.

-I'd like to somehow be able to remove the black if possible, but for now it's the only plausible accent color dark enough to work with the set.

Uniforms

596e338a97af7_NashvilleSoundsHome.thumb.png.822ffc130a7dc93d974a25b780db0d34.png596e339172c4b_NashvilleSoundsAway.thumb.png.7f9a5716d5b5104653cdf76937a499e6.png596e3398e7e92_NashvilleSoundsHomeAlternate.thumb.png.1e04ba09f9f378e31ebc3e542a382ce5.png596e33a10f0c8_NashvilleSoundsAwayAlternate1.thumb.png.fc40264bcb54be5a7b319d6d6df0e7ed.png596e33a8be940_NashvilleSoundsAwayAlternate2.thumb.png.7d210a3c0907d8b3dab886feba0656db.png

-The set takes the five-stripe motif seen on a musical sheet and runs with it. The home alternate also has this striping on the front panel of the cap, a unique design element.

-The numbers take on the same double-shadow format seen on the wordmarks.

-I chose a anthracite away because of this uniform, which I admit I think looks pretty sweet.

-The pants feature a small version of the 'N' logo, I just thought it fit pretty well.

-I thought doing a Northwestern-style uniform where the stripes wrap around would be a cool idea, with the 'N' logo on the front, let me know if I should try that out.

That's what I've got for Nashville, let me know what you guys think!
