Oklahoma City has had one of, if not the worst identity in the NBA ever since they moved. I know it's another roundel, but just about anything is better than what they have:IMG_0770.thumb.PNG.cbfc41b72290422d5d533eccf7b614ad.PNG

And yes, I know thunder and lightning are not the same thing.;)

I personally love roundels, so this is amazing to me. Great detail with the feathers as well.

Applications of the Heat logo:

So, fortunately and unfortunately, I'm going to have to put this series on ice for a little while. The good news out of this is that this concept was my final ever GIMP work, as Clemson has given me access to Illustrator for my upcoming studies, so I will need time to get adjusted to the program and fine tune my skills once again. See y'all around.

Maybe you guys will really like this one a little more:

On a purely conceptual level, this might be my favorite thing I've ever done. It's a basketball wearing a cowboy hat! But I think that the Mavericks identity has been stuck in the early 2000s' for far too long, and this ball icon might be something that the fans in Dallas can really attach themselves to.

The Nuggets have been one of those teams who's identity has flown under the radar for so long, and then suddenly you realize they have had the same logo for 25 years, color changes outstanding. I also felt like the current color scheme is not entirely wrong, but just needed a little tweaking, so I took the UCLA football team's color scheme and applied it, while modernizing the current logo:DenverNuggetsPre.thumb.png.48579e2854e4c265f2842b1a99fde04e.png

Another sun logo! The Heat are about the only team that I think can pull off a gradient logo, so I gave them a secondary logo that can be used in both gradient and flat fashions, but also gives off a tropical vibe.

Dude. Oh my. This is amazing. Been clamoring for something like this for a long time and this is just...perfect. Awesome series, so impressed.

It's great, but what about contrasting the skull with the Pistons? For instance, you could make the skull red and the Pistons blue, and replace that color with white on a colored background.
