The good news out of this is that this concept was my final ever GIMP work, as Clemson has given me access to Illustrator for my upcoming studies, so I will need time to get adjusted to the program and fine tune my skills once again. It's a basketball wearing a cowboy hat! But I think that the Mavericks identity has been stuck in the early 2000s' for far too long, and this ball icon might be something that the fans in Dallas can really attach themselves to.
