It's a dream road trip weekend for Atlanta area sports fans. Many folks headed up to Chicago Thursday evening. There were UGA chants taking place at Wrigley Field on Friday evening. Saturday saw what may be the most historical college football stadium/campus in the country, and first visit for UGA in South Bend. And tomorrow has the Falcons opening the season in Chicago against the Bears. Many folks are hitting up that trifecta. Safe to say Atlanta took over Chicago this weekend. I'd have likely done this had I not wanted to be a part of Atlanta sports history tomorrow afternoon, with Atlanta United's first game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium

FiddySicks
He should've been fired after last season. They've pretty much been worse every season since he's been there, and this particular team is downright AWFUL. Like, I don't understand how his recruiting classes are always such :censored:. I wouldn't be surprised if last week was the only game they'll win all year. Dennis Erickson was really flawed, but he knew how to attract at least SOME talent. Could've had June Jones, who Lisa Love originally wanted. He would've quit NB before the 2015 season because he is June Jones.

HedleyLamarr
Late in their game last night, Louisiana Tech had a 3rd-and-goal play where the line of scrimmage was the 7-yard line. Their own 7-yard line. How? On 2nd down, the snap goes over the QB's head, and the ball keeps getting kicked around and never gets possessed by either team. Mississippi State players have numerous chances to scoop up the ball...or even just fall on it...but didn't do either. Louisiana manages to lose nearly 90 yards on this play. https://twitter.com/CBSSports/status/906707563495821312

That said, The American has two Power 5 home wins already this week, yet neither USF nor Memphis sold out. USF is more understandable due to Irma, but it was free admission to HS players and first responders. They announced 35.5K and reports are 5,500 were free seats. And it ain't like the Liberty Bowl gets a Power 5 team in there outside of December. Sad.

See Red
Florida is a complete disaster. Undisciplined, unimaginative on offense, can't tackle. McElwain has to go. Fortunately, Tennessee is kind of a mess themselves.
