Clemson was probably a little overrated coming in, but that's obviously a great win for Syracuse and Dino Babers. I want to add that Eric Dungey is a guy who's not on the national radar who is a very, very good football player. I wouldn't say Clemson was overrated...they've played the 3rd toughest schedule, to date. Oh how I've missed you, #Clemsoning!

Oh how I've missed you, #Clemsoning! Well, I say that because they caught Auburn without Kerryon Johnson—and without him, Auburn is a completely different team—and while Louisville looks like a good win on paper, they're essentially an all-world QB surrounded by a team that really isn't particularly good (the offensive line in particular), which we saw again when they were beaten pretty well by NC State. And really, I don't know that Virginia Tech is as good as their rank indicates either. Don't get me wrong, they had looked good, but I think people had been pencilling them back into the National Championship game against Alabama and I don't know that they'd looked anywhere near that good. Schedule strength only factors in wins/losses...not polls.
See Red
Right. I get that. But if you're going to use their strength of schedule as proof that they weren't overrated, it's not unfair to point out why the strength of schedule is a bit misleading. All of you bought the basketball season tickets and either the tax refund was too low, didn't get enough OT at work, or started at Lyft/Uber too late. It's pretty hard to be misleading when you're factoring in not just the strength of the opponents you've played, but the strength of your opponents' opponents.... Yeah, sure. Okay. The team that was being pencilled by many into the National Championship game but just lost to a 4-3 Syracuse team probably wasn't a little overrated. In my opinion they were overrated. You don't agree? Oh well. Move along.
dfwabel
Wazzu down 14 at the half and the poor air quality makes all those pass routes even tougher in the 2nd Half. Wazzu had 24 passes and 7 rushes by Falk (4 of which were sacks) in 43 plays in the 1st Half.
dfwabel
I don't like to say that college kids give up/quit, but after 8 sacks and little offensive production, Wazzu is ready to after that Cal "Ortege Jenkins"-like TD. $hit, THAT was 19 years ago? What are you talking about, it says 1998, that's like 2... Oh no. Two top ten teams falling to unranked teams before the first Saturday game kicks off. Hell of a thing. dfwabel
Wazzu getting their a$$ unexpectedly kicked like that nearly boycotting/multiple suspeded plauer Minnesota beat them last December. Embarrassing. But, Cal OC Beau Baldwin is likely to be in the serious mix to be the next Oregon State HC.
FiddySicks
This feels like a product of the PAC 12 just not really being that strong. They're a really evenly matched conference, but outside of Washington there's nobody to really write home about. Hell, even Washington may be more a product of that conference. Maybe ASU had a shot tomorrow?... lol, no they don't. On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) dfwabel
Fantastic job of Mike Leach trying to keep his team together. No fault of his own, just the players. The defense was, "they". "Ours (players) didn't play hard", but all of you coached hard.
Wings
College Football as a whole is not that strong. You have maybe 2 good teams per major conference and the rest is crap.

The SEC had a decade where they had four of the top ten or so teams (or more) every year, but other than that, it's usually like two teams per conference that could threaten for a national title, if even that.
