I was fine with this when the rumor was he wanted the job last time, I'm fine with it now. I like Gundy and he's clearly a good coach, just the thought of him in Gainesville doesn't move the needle much. I don't understand taking the time out to start with. I understand getting the right play, but you still have life after a non-conversion if you don't take that timeout. It's all moot after the Sermon run, though. For what it's worth, I don't know if Dan Mullen's all that likely for the Florida job either. His wife didn't seem to enjoy their time in Gainesville much the last time he was at Florida and from Stricklin's comments, I'm not sure he and Mullen got along any better than he did with McElwain. Heard the same thing about the Mrs. as well. Scott Frost seems to be the target.

I would be fine with this or Norvell. Think Frost would rather take the Nebraska job? I know he has a bit of a strange relationship with the school/fanbase but he's also said it would be a dream to coach there.

It is much, much easier to recruit and win a division title, less a conference title at Florida than Nebraska. Looking back at the last seven years, each have had divisional success (NEB in two conferences), but Florida is a better place to be even if there is no dedicated "football building". So I guess the one I went to was more interesting from a historical perspective.

Don't be shocked if there are a few more games "bought" for either Dec. 2 (conference championship Saturday) or/and Dec. 9 (Army/Navy wknd.) to get teams who lost a game due to Hurricane Hank or Irma bowl eligible. And FSU will play UL-Monroe on December 2. http://seminoles.com/florida-state-reschedules-ulm-game/

MJWalker45
Georgia has taken a shotgun to their feet and machetes to their knees. They don't look good at all. Iowa's points are all coming from their top CB. And Ohio State made Michigan State look like UNLV today. They should have been playing like that last week too. DS729
Georgia faltering wasn’t all that surprising. I know hindsight is 20/20, but they played a soft schedule and Georgia seems to always blow it in big games. That said they’ll have another chance in Atlanta, so maybe they’re still in the thick of it, but they didn’t look very good at all. And that wasn’t even Alabama. While he's mobile, he's not a runner. Think about those qbs who are competitive with or beat Alabama in the last 7- 10 seasons, there aren't many who are dropback passers. Tebow Newton Manziel Marshall Watson Bo Wallace Chad Kelly Jordan Jefferson's 9-6 win don't count Your passers who beat them off the top of my mind were 12-Gauge Cardale Jones and Steven Garcia. Both of those dudes run better than Jared. Nick Fitzgerald tonight is the best qb of the successful left before the playoffs. 28 minutes ago, DScruggy729 said: Georgia faltering wasn’t all that surprising. There chance in Atlanta is the week prior and trying to beat Georgia Tech. They must do that first to sniff the playoffs as they're not quite ready with Fromm at qb. See above, he doesn't fit the mold which beats the Tide.
tp49
The way I see it is that Alabama is beatable in any three of their next four games. Especially considering the state of the linebacker corps with injuries to four of them. Tonight may even be the game they get beat. Their their defense looks very vulnerable on third down. Right now it's shaping up to be a shoot out.
See Red
I guess Miami is better than I ever gave them credit for (or Notre Dame's not all that, which seems equally likely)

Dynasty
Alabama seems to be very predictable on offense. All they're doing is running the ball (and so is their running back).
