Texas A&M may be a bit cultish but they don't deify their coaches. I doubt we'd see the same situation if one of their head coaches was covering for a child molester. JoePa is God at Penn State, that pesky Bible be damned.

Mighty Ducks of Anaheim (CHL - 2018 Orr Cup Champions) Chicago Rivermen (UBA/WBL - 2014, 2015, 2017 Intercontinental Cup Champions)

King's Own Hexham FC (BIP - 2022 Saint's Cup Champions) Portland Explorers (EFL - Elite Bowl XIX Champions) Real San Diego (UPL) Red Bull Seattle (ULL - 2018, 2019, 2020 Gait Cup Champions) Vancouver Huskies (CL)

They deify themselves. Muster, Fish Camp and the Aggie ring with passing over the death of 12 is is worrisone, like the "IIII" over "IV" on the Albritton Bell Tower (campanile) built in 1984 .

Yeah the TAMU crowd is AWFUL. The only reason they haven't put their coach up on a godlike pedestal is because they haven't really had a coach with that level of success, or anything even close to it, probably ever.

If if you had the same situation you see at Penn State at TAMU, I guarantee you it would be somehow even more ugly and disgusting.

Just picture the mouth-breathing Penn State yokels you have right now in central Pennsylvania and make them Texans. That's a thought I shudder to even think.

Most Texas schools won't let an ex-player hang around the school let alone a former coach. Heck Mack Brown's probably the only former head coach in Texas that is even close to God in Texas and that's only because he spent more time hanging out with the boosters than winning football games. That's why Charlie Strong was pushed out the door so quickly. He was focused on the football team and not making sure the boosters felt wanted. There's a reason Red McCombs suggested bringing Art Briles to Incarnate Word this coming season. It's because Briles made the donors happy by winning games, not by building solid citizens.

Yuk.

Houston raided FAU's former Baylor staff and hired Kendal Briles as OC and Randy Clements as OL coach. Both apparently have a morals clause in their contacts.

Meanwhile, Kendal's brother in law, Jeff Lebby, was hired as OC at UCF after a year at NAIA Southeastern University.

Who's ready to follow this up with the Patriots winning the Super Bowl next month? Knowing how these things go it'll be them beating the Vikings in their own stadium in a 4th quarter last second win.

So sick of Bama. Just go on and give them next years #1 seed in the CFP, and then crown them 2019 ESPN football champions as well.

They got the benefit of not playing in SEC title game #1, so they had an extra week that Clemson didn’t have and it showed. And then played practically NO offense til middle of the 3rd quarter in the SEC/ESPN championship game #2 against a team that decided to go super conservative and predictable the 2nd half.

The CFP committee the last 2 years has disappointed me thoroughly. Basically saying that a Conference championship doesn’t mean much, and regular season losses doesn’t matter to certain schools.

If anything, Alabama should be pushing to expand the playoff. You never know when failing to win your division will keep you out of the playoff.

Well... it’s happened the last 2 years. Ohio State and Bama. Only difference is OSU got in over their conference champ, Bama just joined their conference champ, cause you know... SEC
