I read an article about him this morning.  I had no idea he was only 28 or 29 when he was named head coach at Arizona State.

He was no Paterno, but he was no Bobby Knight, either. When Ernie Accorsi was working with him in Baltimore (with the Colts), he realized that Kush's rep wasn't all that. Ernie told Frank that they had to stick together (for the 1983 draft), but when they walked into Irsay's office, Kush went "Fine, sir" when Robert asked him how getting John Hannah sounded (in a trade for Elway).
