When you look up university of providence on google and yahoo there is only one entry for them on the first page, everything else his for providence college and the university of Rhode Island (providence) . "brings the university back to its roots, founded by the Sisters of Providence and Ursuline Sisters in 1932" Even though it seems more of the hospital getting the naming rights than anything else. (Providence St. Joseph Health (PSJH) system) Makes you wonder if this is something you will see happen in the future. It feels like the current Sabres & Lions logos - a minimalist base with too much needless border detail. I would like the new logo better if they let the blue and green touch directly without the white buffer between every shape. Something like this rough draft: The blue and green contrast enough that they don't need all that extra detail between them. Maybe a simple white border around the entire logo for application on green or blue backgrounds. The wordmark would be fine enough with no border at all.
