Holy cow, the Rams are 5-2 and the Bills are 4-2. We must be living in the upside-down dimension from "Stranger Things"

Not to mention the Saints, after starting 0-2 (with neither game being close) are now 4-2 and leading the NFC South...

It is what it is.

Never. A collapse like that will haunt a team until the bitter end. The Falcons' only hope is to blow it all up. Yeah, they'll suck for a while, but the franchise will be healthier in the long run once that choke-job stink's been aired out.

Also change the uniforms. They'll forever be associated with the collapse to end all championship collapses.

There was no "Super Bowl hangover" talk when the team was 3-0.  A few things:

1. Denver got a lot of talk about "Super Bowl hangover" when they got crushed by the Seahawks.  Two seasons later, they won the Super Bowl with many of the same players.  Especially with how young the Falcons' core is, it's pretty foolish to "blow it up".  Their lone "old guys" are the roster spots where you want guys being older: starting QB and kicker.  Some analysts have compared the sheer youth of the team's roster to the 2012 Seahawks.

2. This is the first year that Ryan and Sarkisian have worked together, and it's looking a lot like the first season when Ryan and Shanahan worked together.  Glimpses of brilliance and glimpses of "Da hell?".....learning curves.  Now aside from showing up to work drunk, Sarkisian was known for being quite the talent on calling an offense.  He gets a pass on his one game with Alabama, and he's only 6 games into the Falcons.  Now tonight wasn't a good night for the offense, but they did some good things.  Kicker (and special teams, really) had a bad game, and the game situation altered what would have been a likely 3 points into that doomed Jet Sweep call on 4th down.

3. Aside from three games since the start of the 2016 season (Week 1 vs. Tampa last year, the game at Philadelphia last year, and tonight), the Falcons have held a lead at some point into the 4th quarter.  So they're pretty much in every game and have been getting that fortunate "one more made play" than the other team on most days.  Plus, the analytical stats that are probably the most meaningful for successful teams (points per drive, net yards per play), the Falcons have been solid in.

One lousy night isn't cause for concern yet.  Plenty of things that need to be cleaned up, sure, but blow it all up?  Way too much of an overreaction.  Hell, last year's team, one that went to the Super Bowl, was 4-3 after 7 games.

The Browns call timeout right before a field goal to ice the Titans kicker who misses. On the second attempt the Titans' kick is good and they win in OT. So very Browns.

Under the new timing rules, the OT is considered a 4th quarter and that was the 2-minute warning that negated the first kick. We never called time out. Not that it really matters. We lost a game in which we didn't give up a touchdown.

and dog fighting. I'm surprised they haven't changed yet for that reason alone. Those are still known as the "Vick uniforms".

Browns gonna Brown. This is the inverse of when Garrett decided to ice Dan Bailey, like an idiot against Arizona.

Icing the kicker is a stupid unwritten rule.

Once again, they didn't call timeout to ice the kicker. The clock hit the 2 minute warning just before the kick got off.  The announcers just assumed and took the opportunity to pile on the Browns... which is like kicking a helpless bunny.

Even with that, the Browns are still beyond godawful. The best player they have, an offensive linemen, is out for the season with a torn triceps. They can't settle on a QB, they got no run game, they have no wide receivers and the defense is average at best.

If anything, 0-7 seems about right for them. It's another wonderful product from the Factory of Sadness.

Browns director of... something, Paul DePodesta on why they didn't want Carson Wentz:

"Even though you have a desperate need for one, you have to resist the temptation of taking that guy just because you have a need if you don't believe he's one of those 20 guys at the end of the day," DePodesta told Tony Grossi of WKNR-850 AM. "I think that's the hardest part, just maintaining your discipline because you have the need. That's what we did this year."

I mean....what more can you say about them?

I guess, even The Bucs stopped being garbage at some point.

I will give Browns fans credit though, they seem to take pride in their teams groundbreaking ways of ineptitude.

I totally forgot Jonah Hill is working for the Browns now. Who thinks an analytics guy who's best known for failing as a baseball GM would make a good football front office guy? Oh yeah, the Browns.

They also had the discipline to pass on Deshaun Watson this year too. Idiots, this is why you're the worst team in the NFL. You need a QB. Just pick a QB. You're not going to get Joe Montana or Tom Brady by waiting around for Joe Montana or Tom Brady.
