Like SBXL wasn't handed to the Steelers by the referees?  Seriously - that's the most blatantly referee-engineered game in the modern history of pro sports - I didn't see the first half of the Patriots game, but a Steelers fan has no room to complain about referees, and should literally get on his knees and suck off any referee of any sport that's in the union in exchange for XL.

I'm not gonna sit here and say that XL wasn't poorly officiated...but really? Outside of Roethlisberger's non-TD, the other two calls (offensive PI in the end zone, holding on Clark Haggans) were borderline at worst. If I were reffing I would've called the hold and left the Seattle TD on the board.

But the worst officiating in modern sports? I know you dislike the Steelers, but that's a gross overstatement.

Can you quote any post I've made that implies that?  I neither love nor hate the Steelers.  I envy their success.

Man is it loud in Philly. Fair play to them, their bringing it and the football team hasn’t quit yet!

Really looking forward to tomorrow’s games though as a *sniff* neutral. Vikes-Saints especially looks like a cracker.

It was really loud at the Linc today. I'm not an Eagles fan by any stretch, but it was a really fun atmosphere to be a part of in person. I had no real preference who won, but it was tough to not get into it a little when the Eagles were doing well.

And I completely agree about the Julio catch. I thought the overturned Sanu one was a closer call, but it made for an exciting ending.

I know the NFL loves to schedule the Patriots for the Saturday night 8pm slot during Divisional weekend, but the ratings for these games must be abysmal. Outside of that close game against the Ravens a few years ago (2014?), I cannot remember the last time the Patriots did not win in a blowout on a Saturday. These are garbage games.

Let it be known that ESPN caused this slaughtering of the Titans tonight.

If you listened to only Patriots fans, you would think ESPN put a Haitian Voodoo spell on New England and their mothers, while going to Roger Goodell's house parties, sharing unflattering pics of Brady, Belichick and Kraft.

I see the opposite like dorshak. They blew the so called "rift" between TB, BB and Kraft to death to motivate the Patriots to steamroll everyone in the NFL, and we all suffer thru another glorious NE triumph.

New England should change their colors to black and white with vertical stripes. They'd look lovely.

The Titans were never winning this game. The refs could have been as impartial as humanly possible. Tennessee wasn't winning.

I watched the first game and then immediately turned off football for the day once it was over because I just absolutely KNEW that Titans Pats game was going to be a huge waste of time. I'm positive that next weekends AFCCG is going to be just as big of a waste of time, too.

I didn't bother watching one minute of the Pats/Titans game. We all were Nostradamus with this game. This team just sucks the fun out of any playoff season. I will admit that they are probably the best "dynasty" of all-time but at least, the 80s 49ers teams were fun to watch (and I hated those teams). Pittsburgh will beat Jacksonville and we will probably be left with another anticlimactic AFCCG beatdown of the Steelers by the hands of the Patriots.

Agreed that Tennessee never had a shot, but I'd still like to see an evenly officiated game. NE is good enough to crush poor competition without phantom calls.

I'm curious how this is all done.  They announced the time slots before the playoffs even started, so the Eagles knew they were the Sat afternoon slot the entire time, and same with the other teams.

I would assume that Sat night is the lowest rated of the 4 slots, and they'd want to put whatever game might be the least competitive there, but announcing it ahead of time kinda kills that thought (unless they just figured that the game would be uncompetitive regardless of who played the Patriots.)

Did you guys see how Tennessee scored two whole touchdowns on the Pats at Foxboro? They're gonna score three on them next season you can bet on that!

For real, a sizable beating was about how I expected it to go down and it did. Getting in and winning a comeback wild card game has been more icing than this season should've ever gotten so hey.

The whining you'll hear will be from the media for having to go to Minnesota just like when they had to go to Jacksonville.  Coincidentally, both for Eagles vs Patriots Super Bowls.

Also - not sure how to put the video, but the Falcons 3rd down play at the end of the game (Jones caught it while going to the ground, ball rolled around on the ground) was reviewed, and based on the previous calls like the one against the Steelers, there was no way it was a catch - yet it was, though it's constantly been said that you need to survive the ground and it was clearly rolling on the ground without him having control.  I mean, common sense said it was a catch - I certainly would consider it a catch - but review constantly overturns that type of play, leading to all the arguments.  NOw, if review isn't even going to be consistent, who the F knows what is a catch and what isn't?  At least even if it didn't make sense, it was consistent.  Now it's neither.

Man this Jags team looks, like, legit GOOD. It's gonna be such a blast to see them drop a stupid game to the Pats next week.

As long as Jags & Vikings win, I'm happy.

Even if by some miracle Jags beat The Patriots, I'd still be happy seeing Jags make the big one.

Vikings because it'd be fun seeing a team host the Super Bowl at home while also being the away team.

Red Sox: 8    Celtics: 17    Bruins: 6    Patriots: 5
