2017 NFL Season: Then there were Two

Ya know what? I'm happy for the Bills fans.  The coaching staff doesn't deserve it after the Peterman debacle, but I'm happy for the fans.  They deserve it.  It just sucks that it had to come for them like it did.

...which by the way, if you're supposed to be a team known for your defense, if you can't stop a sub-.500 team from gaining 12 yards at home, you really shouldn't be in the playoffs.  I look forward to new coordinators next year and rebuilding in 3 years after a couple more years of mediocrity.

Congrats to the Bills fans.  Go NFC.

The last time the Buffalo Bills made the playoffs...

Futurama and Family Guy were brand new.

Marvel, Lucasfilm and 20th Century Fox were separate companies.

The Backstreet Boys dominated the Billboard charts.

Bill Clinton was President and Tony Blair was British PM.

A gallon of gas was $1.30.

The Matrix, The Phantom Menace and the Sixth Sense were the biggest movies of the year.

So tonight in Buffalo, they're partying like it's 1999...

The last time the Bills made the playoffs, I had just turned 15; now, my oldest child is 11.

I'm loving the fact that the Chargers missed the playoffs at 9-7 for the millionth time in franchise history. Not good enough to make the playoffs, just mediocre enough to ruin their draft position. It's pure poetry. It's peak Spanos. It's the most damning proof that the city was never the problem - the ownership was.

It felt like that ball was in the air for an eternity. In my mind it was like watching the whole thing play out in slow motion. If ever there was going to be a dramatic way for the Bills to finally end the playoff drought, this had to be it.

Also, the Flutie curse has finally been lifted!

Wow, what a different playoff grouping this is!

Pats are gonna totally :censored: the Falcons in the *** in the Super Bowl, and anyone who doubts this is stupid because the NFL is garbage.

I miss the years when the Yankees were the universally hated team in North American sports (Pats eclipsed them in that department). Though they are surely trying when they got Giancarlo Stanton.

Yea, like NCAA Power 5 teams look better in their exhibition games.

The Titans, Jaguars, and Bills are all $hitty teams with winning records and coaches with suspect histories.  Doug Marone and Mike Mularkey are medicore at best yet really hurt their teams by not being aggressive. McDermott benching Tyrod should be firable since his second year cannot surpass this initial year and he'll look to start with "his guy".
