Crabcake
And the Invincibles can pop their champagne! Liverpool down City 4-3 without Virgil Van Dijk. Really exciting match, Bobby Firmino is easily a top-10 premier league striker and Oxlade-Chamberlain is really starting to justify his price tag. But holy cow do we need a new keeper. Oblak or Alisson in the summer please, FSG.

officeglenn
One of the long, drawn-out sagas of the transfer window is finally over, with Alexis Sanchez moving from Arsenal to Manchester United and Henrikh Mkhitaryan moving the other way. MJWalker45
Thank Goodness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Never felt like this was going to go though until the last three days. Glad to see another attacking threat come to Old Trafford, would've rather sent Fellaini instead though.

Crabcake
Liverpool’s first XI is gonna lose to West Brom at home, aren’t they EDIT: 3-1 down at half. Shambolic.
MJWalker45
Glad to see VAR work, but they needed to get the players off of that ref so he could speed things up. I didn't like the call on the West Brom header but it was the right call. On the penalty, Salah obviously sells it, but he was still held nonetheless. Real loser here is Lacazette. Haven’t followed Arsenal all that much this year (understandably) but it seems like Wenger hasn’t placed much faith in him. At the beginning of the year he was Arsenal’s savior, now they’re buying another high profile striker? This reeks of a panic move by Arsenal. He has been one of their better players all year. What they really need is center mids and center-halves, yet they drop 50mil on a striker they don't need. The fact that they lost to Swansea made me laugh today, but Arsenal are a club that are seeing themselves surpassed in terms of wealth and talent by pretty much all of the other Top 6 teams. Very true. One of Lacazette or Aubameyang is either getting shunted out to the wing or dropped to the bench. When you're doing that, yet Jack Wilshere and Per Mertesacker are still starting for you, that's not a smart use of funds.

officeglenn
I don't suppose I could persuade anyone in this thread to join our little Premier League-based fantasy league here on the boards? We have a club that's looking for a new owner. Don't worry, it has been well taken care of since the previous owner dropped out. The usual CCSLC fantasy requirements apply: 6 months on the boards or 500 posts. You also cannot already be in a PL-based fantasy league on the boards. Check out the application thread here.
