jerseyjunk
I just found the answer myself, looks like the league or federation get to decide whats best for the players, due to money! http://teamhandballnews.com/wordpress/2011/08/important-question-to-debate-sleeveless-or-with-sleeves/ Pretty interesting stuff when we think back to the whole sleeved NBA jersey debacle

There's a chance but so far Jeter has been very vague with every topic he's been asked about, including uniforms/logos. He's said things like "this is just day 1 we'll discuss that on day 2" and that he has to "go over everything with everyone in the organization" and "everyone has an opinion" etc etc. Can't say I disagree with any of it but the point is he hasn't revealed his hand on anything. Like those old photos higher up in his tread. The whole reason for a west is to have free arm movement like in basketball and mountain climbing. Speaking of free arm movement like in basketball. Why the hell do they not use wests in basketball´s sister sport handball? Pavel Chekov, is that you? The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog. Sport
I prefer those to the brick and sand ones. Remove the snakeskin pattern on the back and there's not much offensive about them and the the turquoise black and red is a unique statement. The road charcoal grays are the worst uniforms in baseball in my memory. Just awful.

Arizona's problem is that they were scared to just commit to these full time and muddled the set up by trying to keep the previous set with the sand color and please everyone. If they would just ditch their current primary set for this alt set (also make a few minor tweaks like ditch the weird patterns, although it's not as bad when relegated to the back of the jerseys like this) they'd have a VERY solid look. Not on a jersey...perhaps on those earrings that was posted earlier, but damnit, ballplayers don´t wear those earrings!

I always liked the Marlins in teal before they started to let all the black creep in. As good as that looks I think it's just a bit too much teal which is why I preferred when they went with a little more black while still keeping the teal prominent from 1995-2002. The 95% teal early years looks too much like a kid's uniform to me even though the color teal is awesome. The balance wasn't right to me. These pics below look sharp and I purposely included the one next to a Yankees road jersey to show how the Marlins uniform was a classic while still being unique and it still fit in with MLB and wasn't so outrageous... This one, from their pre 1993 uniform unveiling... is just too teal for me... I'd love to have someone argue it though because it still looked pretty damn good... Sure, that's not saying much, but the red-dominated ones are really bad, and the road grays are unbelievably bad.

The green-screen green needs to go and be replaced with Teal. Make the colors of the ballpark Teal, orange, yellow, and blue. I'd love to see that also be the team's colors, whether with black or not, but it would make the park look so much better. When an entire section of your ballpark has become a giant State Farm ad and it's an improvement, you're doing something wrong. 6 hours ago, SilverBullet1929 said: There's a chance but so far Jeter has been very vague with every topic he's been asked about, including uniforms/logos. Heck, I'm really coming around on the red pattern on the shoulders. But I can't get over the soapy "teal" and the mismatched numbers and lettering. The cap, wordmark, and back number all look great. Either take the outlines off the name and front number, or make them match. The piping also looks strange as there's not a trace of their primary color. It's only in the wordmark and back number. But it's still good for the Diamondbacks' current identity.

My prediction is black, silver, and the new shade of blue, with pinstriped home uniforms. It will "recall the classic Marlins teams of 1997 and 203 while setting a new standard for excellence." It definitely won't be Yankee Dress-Up. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫
