Speaking of stadiums, FC CIncinnati released renderings of their stadium in  and it's still the big orange blob, which is somewhat disappointing given the neighborhood it's going in.

From what I hear the the panels are actually supposed to change color depending on the event, so not just orange.

Well that's a bit of a relief, but it's still going to look out of place in its surroundings.

FC Cincinnatis run in the USL has come to a close after being upset by New York Red Bulls II 1-0 today in a very chippy game. All of our previous meetings have been chippy as well. Joining last years US Open Cup match against their parent club, I got a feeling the rivalry will move on with the MLS Bulls. A great season but onto MLS

Sporting KC wins against LAFC and finishes top of the West despite going down a man. Seattle jumps LAFC and Dallas to get to the two spot and a first-round bye. I believe I heard the announcer say that the Sounders have won 14 of their last 16.

Galaxy are out and did so in embarrassing fashion. They went up 2-0 against Houston and ended up losing 2-3 and fail to make the playoffs.

Seattle has indeed won 14 of 16 and finished 2nd after having something like a 1.5% chance of even making the playoffs in June. They really turned it on late.

What a disaster in Carson. That franchise should be embarrassed.

Timbers-Sounders would've been fun in the first round but Seattle is on such a roll. As it pains me to say it, I think the Sounders will make the MLS Cup even though the MLS playoffs can be a crapshoot sometimes.

I was at the game and it couldn't get any flow going because the ref blew his whistle every 30 seconds, which I interpreted as New York's strategy. I don't really have a feel for soccer officiating, but he made some atrocious calls a few times. Like the Red Bulls player yanks on the FCC player's jersey, prevents him from getting to the ball, then falls down and the ref awards the ball to New York. It was ridiculous.

But it was also very Cincinnati to  get down on a bad bounce and bad defense and then show no sense of urgency until it was too late.

Would've been cool to win the USL on the way out, but knowing that the next time they play it'll be in MLS is a good consolation.

Reno and Cincy are both out, so I’m happy with this season’s USL results, no matter how boring and disappointing it may be.

Good luck to Cincy next year, but I’m never gonna not be a bit bitter about how this whole process went down, so I’ll keep it to that. Y’all should be the only team in Ohio.

I'm good with two teams next year. And I hope it wakes up team ownership like in New England that they need to do more to be involved in MLS than just put a team on the field.

Zlatan is too good to play on field turf, or in the MLS playoffs I guess. That's hilarious.

LAFC Blackout Thursday. Get some.

When Zlatan joined the league, Chris Wondolowski said, "I hope he helps them finish 7th." Well...
