Gothamite Posted November 1, 2018 Author Share Posted November 1, 2018 On Halloween?  Not sure that’s actually true.  A lot of us in New York had already bought the full set of playoff tickets, but we have Trick or Treating at the same time. I only have so many Halloweens with my kids, and I’m not going to sacrifice one of them for a soccer game, even a playoff knockout game.        Fortunately, NYCFC has given us another home match this weekend, that I can and will go to. I knew he had no reason to be: FC Dallas has a real talent for flaming out in the playoffs. Tonight is no different. DC had a great season that ended in the worst way, but hopefully things turn around next year. Teams that invest in stadiums like that and have good support deserve success. Â Onto LAFC! I love playoff soccer. Â The whole crowd singing the national anthem is pretty sweet. They do this at Century Link too; I'm wary of nationalism, but collectivism at a soccer match can be a pretty cool feeling. But I'm also rooting for RSL because LAFC's ultras can piss up a rope. We can score with the best of them, but can’t play a lick of defense. We’ve shown that all year.  Then coupled with the fans throwing s*** onto the field and that chant returning.
