Introducing the Las Vegas Aces

Recommended Posts

I'm not excited about the nickname, as its been used in numerous concepts/ideas and is actually being used by the minor league Reno Aces, but I must say I really like the logo. Just hoping that the WNBA goes back to having uniforms unique to each team, and not be stuck with the boring league-wide template like with adidas.

The name is on the nose and overdone, but this logo is fire. Can’t wait to take in some games.

They probably will look similar to what the G League does, unfortunately. Even their own font per team would be an improvement.

Wow, that's really well done. It's nice to see this latest batch of WNBA logos step up from their predecessors. Also, it makes me realize how outdated LA and Connecticut's logos are.

While I like a lot about the logo a couple things bug me a bit. The A in Aces makes it look a bit asymetrical. Perhaps a more flat-topped, blocky A could have worked just as well. Also, it took a moment to recognize the the bottom was LV and not V V overlapping.

THANK YOU, WNBA, for taking the most cliche sports concepts name off the table once and for all...does that mean it can FINALLY stop being used for everybody's Vegas concept?  Pretty please?

Good name. I like it. Not a WNBA fan, but this seems to work. Love the subtle LVA! Decent color choice, would have preferred black, gold and green. Whatever. Looks okay in my opinion.

Yeah....lets just hope THIS doesn’t happen. I think MLB is more likely to go to Vegas than the NBA. Then again...thats what I said about hockey...then again, Gary Bettman.

The TB Rays wouldn’t need to evem change their name! Las Vegas Rays sounds cool.

The Stars name and color scheme would have stuck in Vegas, with Nevada being the Silver State among things. But I'm liking this kick-you-know-what logo and brand and would like to see more. I'm especially feeling the diamond motif. [Come to think of it, the "Las Vegas Diamonds" would have also worked for the W entry.]

Don't get the hate for the name. It may be generic for a team in Vegas, but the execution on the logo is great. The hidden 'LVA' is really outstanding. I love the design of it, and the color scheme too.

They're not going to call an NBA team the 'Spades" ever. Jesus.
