Looks like the Kings changed up their sponsorship patch color on their purple uniforms

They had this last season and even wore it for preseason this year. This is from their media day set back in September

This is what they wore tonight for their season opener

That's a bad cover-up.

Wait, what? Why did they do that? Is that how that original Hornets set was with stripeless shorts?

The original set was the same way.

I did NOT know that. That is so strange. I can’t believe I never noticed that. I can’t unsee it and I honestly kinda hate that look now...

It didn't take more than one game for me to be totally sick of the use of shoes mismatching with the team's colors. First Jaylen Brown with the ugly-@ss blue and red pair ruining the classic Celtics look and last night several others. It looks so damn unprofessional! I mean, you gotta have at least some sense of style.

In other news, a shame that the Hornets totally ruined the throwback unis with the wider pinstripes, since the floor looked fantastic. Why would they do that? There has to be some reasoning. I mean, it's not a type of error one wouldn't notice.

I am wondering that myself? Not sure if it's faded from a watermark or it's just going to be a SUPER light blue jersey?

Ditto. It seems like a lot of the City Jerseys will be recolored versions from last year.

I am thinking, and I cannot verify this, that the light blue will be a throwback to their sponsor Goodyear. The Wingfoots 100th anniversary is this season. The Wingfoots were a team in the originator of the NBA.

The stripes on the Hornets throw back look too thick, or is that just me?

Yeah they are thicker than the original 90s Champion set. Not sure why. Last year's stripes were a tad thicker too.

Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.

I would have to second this. The Cavs and Goodyear have been pushing the 100th anniversary.

If this comes to pass, it makes me wonder if there would have been a different outcome to the Memphis Grizzlies/Express proposal if it was being decided today. (background: https://www.cbc.ca/sports/basketball/nba-rejects-memphis-express-moniker-1.278813)

These ads are garbage. It's even more insulting because the brands the teams are picking are ones that no one knows or cares about and thus it sounds even worse I mean really you have BIOFREEZE? ROKIT? WISH? Give me a break.

Still shopping at Sears, huh Old School?

I don't know how I feel about this? It seems like such a slippery slope with jersey sponsors, etc.

Yet, at the same time ... it's kinda cool?

I was watching the highlights of the Hornets game and it took me 5 long minutes to realize it wasn’t an actual highlight from 1995. I loved it

That court was ON point!

Just give me thinner pinstripes and it's total perfection.

The Blazers will be wearing a patch this year in honor of late owner Paul Allen. They haven’t shown off the actual patch yet, but they have changed their social media avatars to this:

It’s possible that they’ll have to go with a black band with “PGA” on it because of the limited space caused by the Nike swoosh and Biofreeze ad patch, but I’m hoping they’re able to incorporate the rose into the patch/band somehow.
