VikingsNotMinnesota 426 Posted September 22, 2018 Oregon and Stanford is gonna be a great looking game. Only thing that would've been better would've been yellow pants, but im happy we arent gonna look like bananas.
Lights Out 3,211 Posted September 22, 2018 Georgia Tech's uniforms today really needed gold pants. White pants look wrong and out-of-balance with the gold helmets and navy jerseys.

4_tattoos 777 Posted September 22, 2018 Gotta ask because I've been seeing the same complaint posted for years on this forum. What's so bad about red and yellow? I don't understand it. I actually like "ketchup and mustard" on both a visual and edible level. Help me understand your POV.

I think its hard to get the color balance right. And I personally dislike it because I have red hair, went to Iowa State, and neither of their colors look good for me haha

Danny the Sheeb 217 Posted September 22, 2018 Has anyone else noticed that Louisiana Tech is using the old Atlanta Hawks font for their front wordmark/NOBs?
dfwabel 2,128 Posted September 22, 2018 HiI'm shocked that with all the proprietary number fonts or schools, they fail to fix the NOB font. Looking at you Texas. Miami's tried to go old school with NOB.
upperV03 4,553 Posted September 22, 2018 Stanford’s white jerseys have been updated to include the black number outlines that they added to the red jerseys: Also, here’s a couple on-field looks at the Ducks: Still would’ve liked to have seen the yellow helmets and/or pants, but this all-green combo really is a nice and clean look for them. Easily the best of their new set IMO.

Longer names can become an issue with the names on the back which is why they tend to stick to a generic font.

If you're expecting to use the same font Texas uses on the front of the jerseys to the names on the back, it should not be aan issue. Depending on the size and shape of lettering for other teams it can become unreadable when crammed onto a nameplate.

Certain fonts just wouldn't work.
SFGiants58 5,584 Posted September 23, 2018 If you’re going to design a proprietary font, make condensed and extra condensed versions. It’s not that hard.
Cosmic 5,005 Posted September 23, 2018 Ducks look good from the neck down, but the wings are too subtle on that helmet. Could just be these pictures, though.
