Because when I think of Silver & Black , I think San Diego?

Yeah, we talked about this in the megathread when it was first announced back in October.   Pretty awful all around; the color scheme is terrible for what they are trying to do, there's little cohesion to the thing and the "SD" is so forced it's painful.

And that name!  The name was apparently suggested by a person in San Diego, but what's really amazing is that nobody associated with the club bothered to do a simple Google search.  Epic troll there, anonymous person in San Diego.

Apparently 1904 refers to the SD initials - S being the 19th letter of the alphabet and D being the 4th.

That's either really creative or really stupid.

Check out Goth’s post above yours. Apparently it was suggested as a gag (referencing a Ron Burgundy line) and the team ran with it with utter sincerity.

It makes what was just a bad identity a laughably bad identity.

It's not a gag, it's a real thing. It's not very well known, and basically not known at all in the suburbs, but it predates Anchorman.

It was added to Urban Dictionary three years after the film came out.  So I’m a little skeptical about that.
