Mac the Knife
Has anyone floating around the boards these days ever actually endeavored to trademark one of their works? I have a brand name I've been considering trademarking for some time, and while I don't find the USPTO's process intimidating enough to hire an attorney for assistance (I only hire attorneys to threaten or file lawsuits; BS paperwork? I can do myself), I wonder if there's anyone out there with past experience to ask advice of should the need arise.
WSU151
I have no direct experience, but trademarking a brand name should be fairly easy. Easier than patent protection. Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.
andrewharrington
I think you just fill out the application, pay the fee, and then after a suitable amount of time for a government agency to perform its job, you get a response affirming or denying your trademark. I still don't have a website, but I have a dribbble now! http://dribbble.com/andyharry [The postings on this site are my own and do not necessarily represent the position, strategy or opinions of adidas and/or its brands.]
