C-Squared
I am trying to push myself into new styles of design in 2018 Fraser Davidson's Tom Brady logo video inspired me to start logo-meets-portrait designs I want to develop my highlighting and overall economy of design, so any feedback is appreciated!! C-Squared
Running through all my childhood favorites... I choose a reference image that had strange lighting, so I'm having trouble with highlights... are they needed at all? Any feedback is appreciated! What would it look like without the white highlights on the face? I feel that they're more of a distraction vs actually adding depth to the image. C-Squared
On that first one, I think the highlights are needed - the nose loses all of its structure without them... unless I go back in and add some more lowlights... I'm not sure how to work highlights into the 2nd image, though, just because there's already so much detail in the lowlights My TeePublic Shop My Instagram Art Page
MJWalker45
Sehorn maybe needs shoulder numbers to let you know it's a football player. You may even just bulk up the shoulders as if he has shoulder pads on without adding the numbers. The face has enough displayed that you don't need to add to it. Maybe lighten the hair highlights though.

MJWalker45
Awesome! Once you see that hat and the star, you don't need to add anything else.
C-Squared
I finished some GTA-inspired client work and felt inspired to create a design from one of my favorite old school TV shows, Fastlane... some hair tutorials are in my future!
